OK, I fiddled with it so it takes one input file, like so.

Here is what the input file looks like.

First line is a title.
After comes the date (format must be exact as shown) of the first day, follow by a paste of the LCUs from the combat report.
No need to remove extra spaces, they are all cleaned up.
Just keep pasting additional days onto the end as shown.

Yesterday Kagoshima recon showed 17 units, 74,820 troops, 434 guns, and 39 AFV. Today shows 16 units, 78,120 troops, 431 guns, and 18 AFV. The tankers are in fine shape and the Marine infantry is in very good shape with 22% fatigue and 6% disrpution, so they attack tomorrow, in spite of their numerical inferiority. The air units will switch targets to Kagoshima to assist the assault.

But at sea, Doh! That convoy began to bug out but has been ordered back. Several others are arriving tonight too. Back on land we now have 250 P-47N on CAP over Kumamoto so the CVE will withdraw but the fleet CV will remain until the present group of transports exits the area.

Movement on Nagasaki/Sasebo is commencing. Recon shows 18 units, 34,300 troops, 338 guns, and 147 AFV which is consistent with battle information from Kurume indicating the latest batch of evacuees did not make it out.

Congrats on the conquest of Kurume- that should make his movements more difficult. The supply "-" appeared again so I am guessing Japan is getting short of supply everywhere but the big source cities.

I think I mentioned before but in case you forgot - note that you can enter/leave Kurume by sea from both SW and NW. Might be handy if you want to sneak some raiders out to the north, but it doubles your defensive problem for incoming enemy PTs.

Thanks. I did notice that but so far have decided to 'stay home' with the warships being defensive. I also figure there are lots of mines around.

I will have to leave some warships at Kurume to protect convoys, and the bulk of the fleet will depart for Tsu. There I expect the IJN last ditch effort, plus of course clouds of Imperial aircraft. I've been husbanding destroyers and other warships to cover Tsu.

Home Islands west. The Empire made night raids on several of our airbases in the Home Islands: Kochi, Kumamoto, Hakodate. They also flew strikes against shipping, but none of those conencted. Damged to bases was very light (and ably fought by CAP and flak). The IJN scored a little at Kochi but the USN got revenge at Kumamoto.

The terrain (Woods-Rough) greatly impeded our air strikes and of course aided ground defense. Our guys will rest and await reinforcements.

Kumamoto is unloading a number of convoys right now, mostly troops but one large Victory ship convoy that brought 180,000 supply and fuel. Lots of fighting units coming in, including nice fast armor. PacAO is partly ashore.

Yesterday recon of Nagasaki/Sasebo showed 18 units, 34,300 troops, 338 guns, and 147 AFV. Today shows 18 units, 34,260 troops, 339 guns, and 131 AFV. Five armored units entered the hex and will await the arrival of the infantry. Three divisions will take two more days to march from Kurume. A fourth will take three more days to march from Kumamoto but the first assault will take place while they are still on route so they will probably be able to move on to Fukuoka instead.
