For my next pick its a late 70's classic with a capital C. Used in the film Halloween this wonderfully dark track continues to be regularly played on my ipod.

A superb guitar opening and ending, the instrumental could have been a little better, but that's okay and I love the last minute of the song especially......

So to my next choice. And it's the greatest piece of music ever to feature in a war film.

I said I love strings, well this piece has violin strings being played to within an inch of their lives - and that crescendo..... This is the perfect piece of music for the total load of ******* and waste of life that was the Vietnam war.

I will provide here the Ferry Corsten remix so its different to what Shunwick provided, but the version for my 50 would be along the lines of Shunwick's video - full orchestra and strings that make you wet your knickers

I think I am going to have to assume there will only be room for one Abba toon and if so then I think it has to be this little gem.

I love both ladies voices but Frida's is a little bit special. Clever lyrics, superb song.

I don't want to leave things on an odd number so one more tonight. The 80's need to be represented as this is the decade I properly got into music. The first offering from the synth pop crowd is this cracking toon with the stonkingly sad chorus. Marc Almond's voice is perfect for this record and I adore the presumably synthesised string sound.
