[:@] allies had around 4 automatic hits against my subs... Very lucky turn for destroyers...
Winter ´43. Offensive in SU has come to a halt... Winter has frozen all but some HB-s... They performed admirably by damaging few of SU weapons production centars...
Winter socks have been distributed to mine troops...
There are equal armies in numbers looking in Kiev and Kharkov... Will the SU use first winter bonus? Thay are running low on resources but I would not count it out.
WA has relocated all but 2 CV-s to Pacific, so there will be hot pretty soon[;)].

Forgot to get a screen shot, but the gist of it is: Japan ground offensive in China results in huge casualties, resulting only in bringing new militia to arms.

I hate war. Can't we all just get along?

Stalin orders to defend Kharkov at all cost. Therefore the high command decided to start a winter attack againts Kiev to limit the available forces for the German Spring offensive. First of all the German airforce was heaviliy beaten in several air field attacks. While Russian losses were limited to a damaged Ftr, Germany lost 1Ftr, 1TBom and one StratBmb, while 5 German Ftrs were damaged. After hitting the airforce our glorious army fought an attrition battle in Kiev. Although we had to take heave losses, the offensive capabilities of the German forces have been severly limited.

The Chinese army reinforced the heroic defenders of our re-occupied coastal province.

spring ´43. Rostov has been defended only with 1 AA & 1 arty... so the plan was to suppress arty with some HB and then to fly in the paratroopers... That was the plan. But![8|] Flak shot down 2 HB-s and one Tac bomber sent after... Still the paratroopers went in and have been hit with -4 suppressed arty[:@][X(]. Little bad luck there too... But I should have fly all the bombers at once...
After that full out attack on Kharkov was launched. The losses where larger on SU side. But Kharkov is defended..
From Africa HQ decided to launch invasion on India..That will give our ally a little more breathing room...

Japan hasn't the resources to press a land offensive in China. Western Allies dance just out of reach. A quiet spring for the IJN.

Stalin is very pleased by the heroic defenders of Kharkov and Rostov. Stalin medals are given to the commanding generals. Still the order is to defend Kharkov at all cost. This place shall be te graveyard for the German tank armies.

Spring 1943

Sensing the time was ripe for the first major Allied counter-attack of the war, High Command decided that Western France, with its pitiful aircover and second line reserve troops was a juicy target. Following a massive air and naval bombardment that lasted for days, German beach front fortresses were pulverised. Allied troops stormed ashore and within weeks Paris was liberated.

Allied leaders have however cautioned premature celebration. The Japanese armed forces are virtually intact and the Empire of the Rising Sun has yet to lose a single major battle and the bulk of the German war machine is still largely intact despite the terrible slugging match in the East.

This will be a bloody fight.

sent to Germany.

Summer 1943. Losing France and opening western front was not good, not good at all! Rommel is called from India-hopefully he will overrun those darn Yanks!
The France was heavily defended (screenshot applied) and if 2 of mine arty have not pull that No.1 dice[:@] I would be still enjoying excellent French vines! Still the WA lost 3-4 HF and 2 arty, 1 tank and 1 inf while landing (only 1 inf survived and captured the France[:@]). Later I have managed to destroy a few of TS...(WA has around 35 left) So the WA is occupied with Europe (Around half of WA forces are commited around Europe...) and my ally can build up his forces in relativ peace...
2 of WA CV-s are at south Africa... And the rest (around 5) are presumbly near Hawaii..
Altough the west front has opened, clash of steel in east is oreded! Cream of German troops made by panzers, infantry and artillery again attacked Kharkov! The results were good and those commies almoust surrendered the key to the city[:D]. But red army has a powerfull airforce... Ft-s are at 3 range! And 6 att, 6 evasion... In Kharkov are around 5-6Ft-s, 1 Hb and I think 4 TAC, so the Rumania will suffer this turn as my FT-s are needed on the west.

Summer of '43 and Japan decided to expend some of its scarce resources on offensive actions. Australia has yielded gains for the Japanese. Ally forces in the west put up tough resistance and require a second wave assault using precisous supplies that were intended for Hawaii.

By my best estimations Allies still have about 7 CVs in the Pacific, based on previous sneak peaks at production. How will the Allies respond to having a foothold in France? What is the fate of the colonies?

Thank goodness for German effectiveness in disrupting Allied sea lanes.

Summer 43 Russia

In some bold actions Russia tries to stop the Axis from reaching AV. First of all Stalin decided to punish Iran for having chosen the wrong side. The oil fields in Iraq are now in our reach. Moreover the defenders of Leningrad have been ordered to lauch an attack in the North to threaten the supply line of the aggressors in southern Russia. Another big truck with Stalin medals has been sent to the heroic defenders of Kharkov. Will the Germans attack once more? Or will we see the beginning of their retreat? Lets hope that our Western friends are able to defend the Bridge Head in Paris.

Fall ´43. First the red army was hit in Baltic states by panzer army supported with few HB-s. VICTORY![8D] And the survivers from north red army find them self back in Leningrad where they belong[:)].
Kiev was strategically abandoned... Kharkov red army is too great for the army group south...
Then all out attack was commenced on western France... Lufftwafe preserved air supperiority and altough the axis had about 30% of taking the ground, they did it![8D] German forces are again drunk from victory and from french vines[:D].
WA will suffer greatly from this defeat, the troops where damaged even more in retreat across the sea... (Those yanks! As soon they spotted gen. Rommel they run back to their mommies[:D])
Factories where repaired and we have reached the 77 watermark!!! Great job by my ally who managed to get 31 score with Japan so far...[&o] GOOOO HIROHITO![:D]

Japan loses a carrier air group when a small attack force responds after a routine scouting reveals a collection of transports hiding off the Alaskan coast.

Winter ´44 German turn.
After the WA where sent back from France last turn, Franco decided to join on our side [:D].
WA has heavily reinforced Gibraltar, and this turn the Germans have reinforced Spain in reply .
Subs are still disrupting sea lanes bat not in great numbers anymore...
SU is knocking on the eastern front, and soon we will turn and face that threat...
This turn Luftwaffe only engaged 3 SU Ft-s at Leningrad...
No screenshot this time, because I am writing this from work..

The early months of 1944 begin with darkened skies for the Japanese. The formidable American forces retake the Hawaii Islands with authority. Japan draws a deep breath and strikes back before land based fighters can get established for the Americans, and make a counterstrike impossible. Still, loses are high, and a war of attrition will surely be the death of Japan.
