- I've updated "Current game date" for all ongoing AARs
- moved the following AARs to "Hall of Fame": "Pauk's Corner", "Bloody Pacific" (I hope Admiral Laurent will continue this one some day), "Small Ship, Big War" (Duh!), and "Dark side of the moon" (what a battle! [X(])
- created a new section "3. Discontinued AARs". Moved all AARs that haven't been updated in 2008 from "Ongoing AARs" to this section. From now on, to keep "Ongoing AARs" concise, I'll move AARs that haven't been updated in the last 6 months to this section.
As always, new entries and updates of existing entries are welcome! Simply post in this thread or PM me. [:)]

No problem! [8D] What happened to "The Emperor's Champions"?

The game just kind of drifted off. I stopped getting turns, and I didn't really have the drive to 'rally' up the players to get it rolling.

VSWG,
Can you erase links and info for my AAR vs AndyMac?
It dissapeared - i guess that i'm not welcomed on these boards anymore and officials silently removed AAR from the board.
Excellent work guys

. It is really pity that my opponent can't read other side AAR (once when we finish the game).

Pauk - your AAR seems to be there.
When I first read your post I thought maybe the forum software "upgrade" had done something bad - but apparently not - your AAR seems to be alive and well.

Your and Andy's AAR load just fine... You can find the links in the 'Hall of Fame', does this say something about how welcome you are in this forum, too? [;)]

Yes, I see. While the link in VSWG's thread works, the game does not show up if we scroll through the AAR list. And I noticed this was true of another locked thread I was looking for recently, so my guess is that locked threads that are over x-days old are not showing up with the new forum software, I will ask the Admins about this. But it is accessible through the link.

Link works only partialy... you can acess only on first 30 pages, other are missing - last 3 years of the war. I do not care for that, but it would be nice that Andy can read my AAR once when we finish our game.
Unfortunatly for him, seems it will be impossible (still can't figure why someone need to lock long time abandoned AAR while he didn't react on offensive posts earlier in this AAR - never mind this was rethorical question).
So there is no reason to keep this link in the List, anymore.

Is acceptable to post a link to your own AAR here? Or is it by referral only? But for as much time as I've spent on the darn thing, somebody better read it! :^)
Feinder(A) v Bilbow(J) CHS - The winds of war are constantly changing
Players: Bilbow [Jap.] vs. Feinder [Allies]
Perspective: (Mostly) Allied (AAR is by Feinder), but AAR is open to both players.
Map Scen: CHS Scen 156 (no mods for flak or CAP), but includes Soviet Fleet.
Settings: PDU on, 2 day turns, 1st turn surprise, 1 port strike anywhere (Manila chosen)
House Rules: See thread, most crucial are no more than 50x AFsize AC, and addl stacking limits on 4e bombers (these are working very well).
Current game date: Mid to Late June 43.
Comments: IMO, Bilbow and I are extremely well matched (hence the title). A successful early Allied ambush of Japanese CVs (in about 04-42), was reversed by an even greater IJN CV victory in 09-42. Also, the Japanese have secured Northern Australia as far south as Daly Waters. Beginning Spring 43 however, the Allies have begun to press Japan on all fronts, initiating a war of attrition. Allied offensives grind forward in Burma, New Guinea, and the Gilberts, and are met by stiff resistance. The war has been a constant seqence of lunge-parry-reposte. My own predilection for maps is quite evident, as each post is a map of the action, and does not actually contain combat.txt reports. At this point, I try to do monthly updates in each theater (China, Burma, Oz, SWPac, SoPac, NoPac).

Not much happening. Japan is clearing Sumatra, but almost all the other operations are stalled.

I'd like to nominate Japan's video AAR to this list, maybe the Hall of Fame for
uniqueness. It's the only video AAR I know of. I know it has been awhile since he post it, but I saw the file laying on my desktop and it reminded me of just how much effort was put into that AAR.

He probably just needs to host it somewhere else. I'm pretty sure Japan is still around here.
