I don't think privateers make a huge difference so if some folks wants them I am happy to include them.

I have no string feeling for or against privateers. I am willing to play with them if that is what is asked for.

I feel the same about the Privateers either way is fine with me. From the posts received so far we have a majority that are ok with them. so I will include them. So to recap here are the options and house rules For NearRunThing.

Additional Rules & Understandings:
Only unconditional surrender between France /GB

Thanks, where did you get this info from ?

Can I suggest that to speed things along everyone works on their setup ? You can start a game yourself with all the other countries as AI, when it comes to your setup put your troops out and save the setup to file. When we start the game for real you'll be able to import the setup file and tune your setup if you want. Should save a bit of time.
