I believe that both Spain and Gibraltar qualify for the narrows rule. The map in AWD is somewhat distorted in its depiction of Gibraltar; the Spanish coastline is actually several miles closer to Africa than Gibraltar is.

That appears to be the case, but the map is very deceptive. I'd suggest a mod similar to the picture attached for GG3.0. It doesn't matter in any other scenario.

I wonder why the "CONNECT" values for Spain in GG are different from the usual ones then. Is it just for the plane-over-narrows rule?
