Erik,

Remind me ... Awhile back I mentioned the problem regarding the HE being the default ammo used when using the "T" or basic target function for the HQ when your target was a hard vehicle. I didn't see anything about this again and you were going to have a look but I don't remember if it was a big deal or broken for that matter.

Also, disregard my request for a master file list change. I forgot that JSGE has a "snap-shot" feature that checks for any file changes ... so, if I take an unmodded v1.0 and snap-shot it, then install the final update, it should give me a list of the changes.

Thanks,
Rob

Rob -

Thanks for mentioning this - after reading this I just went back and checked and about half of my armor was firing HE at Russian tanks. I maunually changed ammo type to APHE or APCR - I dont think I ever set ammo manually.

Strange that some would have AP shells and other HE. (I checked specs and HE wasn't the ammo to use against these targets).

Thanks,
Rick

Couldn't stand to wait any longer so got the patch. First, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, I can now read the message box.

First try was the single battle tutoria. Got a (whatever) it's called Victory on Easy. Then tried the Normal, as suggest in the write up. What happened to the "surprise"? Did surprise me. Got a Legendary Victory, how sweet it is.

Second returned to Boot Camp. First battle, artillery didn't become available till Turn 7! How nasty is that.? Anyway, played the smoke game and did the rush thing and ended up with a marginal victory. The funny[:D] was when on turns 8, 9 while RUSHING across to the Church, the RUSSIANS were RUSHING towards me. Apparently they never saw me as a shot wasn't fired, though on one "break" one of my squads was standing right next to a Russian squad!

Again, it made no difference. I hope you do fix this. In PCOWS you had the destroyed graphics, however the model would vanish on save reload. At any rate, I'm glad to see the model's still there .... but sad they still "look" alive.
I looked at this today because I thought it was a models problem. It seems to happen all the time if you reload a saved game. Every model I looked at this was happening to. Just that the T34s I made are the most destroyed vehicle and they have a wide open hatch with a guy well out of it. It must be a game engine problem if it happens to a lot of models.

BTW - The game used to put a burn skin over a destroyed tank but it would make the wheels look square as it covered the transparency and that did not look good.

I realize that the problem with the "dead-tank-graphic" has been around for a while, but I played a random game, just now, and it was pretty much outta control. No destroyed Soviet vehicles in the game were depicted as anything other than alive and well. I was able to avoid having to click on each unit to determine its status (dead/alive), by turning on the overhead icons. This is a clean installation of PCK, patched to version 1.01 with no mods of any kind.
