Tashkent was a beauty, definitely, and one of the best designs in Soviet wartime service. She was Italian-built but armed with Soviet guns, so she was delivered without her main battery. Delays in production meant she spent some time with single mounts before the twins were available. We have pix of her in all three guises in Raising the Red Banner.

Does anyone remember the Sig Yava used to use that Dixie did for him? It was a colourised photograph of a camouflaged Renown - absolutely beautiful...
Now that is a beautiful ship!
How about this one? The Threadsters will have seen this before [:)]

I like it (especially since you removed the c**k up![:D]). Have you done one of a County so they can see what we mean about elegance and lines?

i've always found all the ropes, cables and such unattactive, although they aren't terribly noticeable when the ship is under full sail.

Scharnhorst & Gneisenau. Beautiful lines, perfect proportions, marvellously elegant ships.
<Drum Roll>
And the answer is: Scharnhorst & Gneisenau!
Thank you Howard Mitchell for getting this one correct. Now let's do the ugliest.
