hmmm
sort of the old, stuck between a rock and a HARD place
if I rush to the aid of the VH, I leave my Guns open for the Prussian Cav, if I protect my Guns, I leave the VH open to attack
this is why Generals get the big bucks

ahhhh, what to do
routed the close Cav (so the Cav up by the VH is not a danger)
to the right flank is trouble, that is a Jager moveing up, they eat up Arty, and in the hill tops, the Prussian Inf is moving, but HARD to tell if it is trying to hold the hills, or moving north, they are turning to face me, but...
another Inf and Gun show up, I need my Inf, some Cav would be nice too !!!

what a difference a hour can make
my Cav has gotten into a blocking postion, the VH is safe, as long as none of the routed units rally
I squared a Inf, two heavy vollies from my formed guns, hurt and routed them, the Prussians are getting confused, and start to shift there forces to my troops (a mistake, keep to the plan, always keep to the plan, take what you can get when it shows up, but keep to the plan)
too many of my guns are showing up, I need Inf and Cav, I got enough firepower, even if they are weak and tired and low of morale
and as I said, them Jagers hurt

the Prussian lost focus, and I didn't, I drove them off
next month I chase them and pay them back, kill some Rebels in Berlin, and then find out where the Russians are, East Prussia !
Major battle about to begin, 152,000 Russians vs 58,000 French
of course, both Grand Armees are with in beck and call
and call I do, I hope to be able to leave the other Grand in place, they are guarding the supply line

Russians, can be nasty, they really like Heavy Arty, they like normal Arty too !, lots of Cav, and for some reason, there Inf don't seem to be too bad either
they have defeated the Turk in the last war, so I expect them to have some decent morale and exe, but maybe a little light on numbers, marching and fighting tends to wear you down
intel seems ready to break down that hope, 19 units and 152,000 men or so, that means they are close to full strength, depending on how much Arty they are bringing with them

okay, I kind of cheat, I keep saying things like keep to the plan, but never really bother with telling what the plan is !
so this one is easy, grap the bridge head and then wait for the big boys to get there, that means first day is movement to contact, or just shy of it, and contact around noon or so tomorrow
this is going to be a bigger battle, at 02:30 each morning the attacker is going to lose 4 points of WTF, normally that is a bad thing, but with the size of this battle, I can afford a day or two, to get ready, so unless something sweet happens to fall into my lap, I hold in place and wait until I am ready

to be honest, maybe even late afternoon, I may not start reaching the battlefield until very early morning, so I may just be getting to the bridgehead by noon

about what I had figured, 05:00 the first of my troops start to show up, one Gun (but what a Gun, it is the Popes Gun), one Inf, 06:00 another Gun and a Cav
this may be bad, while I can see anything yet, I can read the signs, my Cav is showing being threaten, that means a Enemy unit is close enough to threaten it !!!
so, I may be more defending until I can move forward, then waiting to move forward

and of course, as with most plans, the enemy won't let me, most of my Inf is tried, so trying to let them rest up, Cav is moving forward, but so did the enemy, one volly with his Heavy Guns routed my first troops, hit them with my light Guns, but did little damage
going to do a charge, but that is not as good as it used to be

hmmmm, what are some French battle yells ?
BANZAI
shattered my Cav, but broke and captured one Heavy gun, even has some men left, I may get to keep it, if I can get it back to my lines
as I said, support your guns, it tried, but still left a gap I could hit

Danged if you do, Danged if you don't
the Russians, moved some cav to try and take back there gun, which left a opening for my cavs to hit there other Heavy, two to charges, but I got a new Heavy
my other new Heavy is taking losses, I may not get to keep it !!!
what I worried about happened, I could see that there are Russian reinforcements close enough to call, the Russian General has called for help, so that means, I may need to call for help also, again

night falls on day two
day two was the battle for the guns, charge and counter charge, the one Heavy changed hands 3 different times, finally got some peace and drifted off during darkness
so two Heavy guns are taken, the 3rd Russian Gun has been a royal pain
WTF is still in the Russian Favor, with another 4 points about to drop for the French
but, finally, my troops are getting to the line and setting up, and Nappy is not happy about having to sleep out of doors

been a very bloody battle, the Russians are hanging tuff, but are slowly being shot away, panic should set in soon, the longer then hang on, the more of them I will kill
the trap is sprung

I must of been too tired to chase once the enemy broke, but a good battle, wore them down, and hurt them bad, they lost 3 Arty, 2 of them Heavy, but it take awhile before they are worth anything to me, but, the best part, is the enemy does not have them anymore
of course, oddly, Sweden went to war with me

we still got some art work we waiting on, so they don't want to show off the placeholders yet
once they give us the go ahead, we will put out some on those too
(I will say, a sea battle in a Fog Bank, where you can't see anything, is a blast, and we got all kinds of goodies in this area, new upgrades and skills)
hehe, no fair, I want to talk and tell, but...
