The models were all made to be fit together to create rows of houses or sections of a factory. Modular. So one could easily create a city street or factory complex with multiple entries. I've tried to make them a reasonable size for the amount of troops being placed within.

I've uploaded the two missing folders of models here:
http://www.2shared.com/file/4453682/bc3 ... Stuff.html
This includes all models of urban row houses and assorted other urban structures, modular factories, and many new German/Middle European houses. All .xml files are included in the folders. Thumbnails also included (I've included the ones for the terrain/brush models in case any were missing).
I tried to simply add these new folders to my Mod folder, and delete the older files, but I'm getting errors about files not matching with the .xml. Something may be needed to get them to work properly with the new MM.

Stridor,
Thank you very very very much for your work!!
Knowing that you're doing this on your spare time and assuring that it works for everyone is just absolutely going beyond the call of duty!
(sounds like phraseology from a medal award .. I know).
Anyway ... now that I've buttered you up ....[;)]
I downloaded the new stuff but I haven't had a moment to run it. I did notice that the download did not contain my new RR tracks and I don't remember if I sent this to you at all ... I'm going to check my PM outbox now and see if I can resend it.
I'm at work now, so if I do have it uploaded to filefront I'll post a link next ... otherwise I'll have to do it when I get home. I prefer to wait until I upgrade to 9F and see if the RR Tracks work before I provide a link to the public. I know it will work but I'd hate to make a statement without verifying.
Thanks again!
Rob

Thanks Rob.
Seems like all the install issues have been solved now, and a big thanks goes out to MR for helping with that [;)]
If anyone else is having problems installing and running the map maker please drop a line.
Regards
S.

Stridor,
Ok ... I got 9F running ... no problem via the instructions.
My RR Tracks work fine ... Again, these are the stock PcK recentered for easier placement and alignment.
I'll PM you a new zip with two folders so you can easily unzip and go. Let me know if you want to incorporate them into MM and then supply everyone with a small addedum patch ... or I can simply upload what we got to here and let folks have a go. They don't overwrite anything, btw.
Here's a quick SS showing the RR tracks placed out on top of the Hill621 HIRES map ... which, btw, worked well loading despite being v9E ... which is good news for me because I didn't want to do it over again [;)].
Thanks,
Rob

They look great Rob!
I will package up these tracks and Ben's stuff test them and put them up as a point release for anyone who wants to play with them.

Here is the error message on start up:
Also, you need to click Ok and _uncheck_ the box here.
The two options are RUN and CANCEL so how do you suggest I click "OK"?
I take your point that RUN is the option I want to select and that I need to deselect the box, but hopefully MR's point, and mine, is not lost here either - that there is sometimes a certain imprecision on the part of computer programmers and software developers (I won't say "laziness" but others might) that is also frustrating for the end users. Basically, say what you mean with precision and a lot of frustration will get filtered out. It also applies to end users who are often perceived as lazy and stupid (I'm certainly guilty as charged) and can't be bothered to properly report problems to the people desperately trying to help them, often in their precious spare time.
On that note, I am just coming back to this thread after a two week Christmas vacation and seeing some tantalizing screenshots in another thread with the new Google Earth functionality. This lazy end user is now going through the old messages to see if he can the old beta to work, unless there is a new build to upload? You posted in the other thread that someone may have unlocked some bugs for you, Stridor?

MD,
Yes I think all the install issues are solved now. Even Mad Russian can run it [;)]
Essentially there were 2 problems I think people were having. I have updated post #1 with a full fix.
Problem #1 was that they didn't "unblock" the zip distribution files. I thought this was optional but it is essential. I think this was your problem. So please unblock the distro zips before unziping them again and remember to overwrite all files so the correct unblocked ones get saved. I would point out that this won't be an issue if/when Erik turns the MM in to a Matrix sanctioned and downloaded patch.
Problem #2 was that some people have either very high security settings or old or current antispam programs they are running prevent activeX modules from registering automatically from htas. Note that even *MS* allows this as default behaviour. The hot fix for this is to download the MMREG.bat file (unblock it) and put it in your PCK root dir then run it. This will force register those activeX components (you only need do this once). The next build of MM will do this automatically so it should no longer be an issue.
That should get you going and hopefully the next build will be smoother sailing.
If you are still having problems after these two fixes please get back to me.
Regards
S.
