Turn to the barbarian hordes of the east.


Heavy fighting at Pskov. The Russians have dug in in a deep line of fortifications. Group Hoepner will have to fight had to break this defence.

Smolesk is another main defence area of the Russians. Guderians units have started a first attack and taken the front line fortification. But the defenders have build up a couple of strongpoints around Smolesk.

At the southern front Kiev is in sight of the first recon units. Like Smolesk and Pskov this city is well protected by fortified positions.

Axis turn 7 completed.
At Pskov the Russians have built up a strong defence line. Group Hoepner´s advance has been stopped. Meanwhile group Kuchler has taken Tartu without heavy defence from the enemy.
 
In the center group Guderian has made some good progress in the attack at Smolesk. Some more fortifications had been taken. Defence lines north and south of Smolensk have been crushed and Guderians units are standing in the outskirts of the city.
 
In the south Kiev could not yet been attacked. The German army is moving slowly eastwards. The Romanian and Yugoslavien units have reached Kherson in the south and Cherkassy further north. Enemy units have been spotted that are waiting for the approach of the Axis units to strike back.

Yes, all is still lying on Joseph´s desk in the Kremlin and waits for the ok to be send.
 
 

One of our generals just survived an attempt by Russians spies to poison him.
Ofcourse they were found and shot, but he still has to recover.
But today he reported back for duty. Lucky bastard the war waited on him....

AGC has encircled Smolesk. Units of group Guderian approached from west and south, while group Hoth supported the encirclement by moving north and swinging round when standing northeast of Smolesk. Further north Demjansk was reached. German and Russian units are fighting for the way to Staraya Russia now. Group Hoepner is still bound at Pskov where the enemy holds a strong defence line. In the south some fortifications that should protect Kiev have been taken. German units fight their way into the outskirts of the city. The Romanian and Yugoslavian units have reached the Dneiper. Russian forces have build a long defence line on the other side of the river. Crossing will be difficult and might cost a lot.

Who has the turn now?

Turn is still on Russian side. Maybe they develop a Five-Year-Strategy.

Yep file is with Giacomo and Brian.
They both have some real life issues that keeps them away from the game.
