I know it is always difficult to call but how close is close? Are we talking hours or a couple of days? I haven't rolled my panzers for a couple of days and their commanders are getting itchy!

We are a bit delayed because of abundance of improvements. We are trying really hard to get it to stable version ready at least for public beta. Yesterday we sent another version to testers and we still go on  with work.

Normally we would work during the weekend, but during the following one in a small cottage placed in  the wilds outside a city which`s name could be translated into English as “ a boat” we will have for two days “an  away seminar”  without  any internet connections (or maybe only with weak mobile connection :) ).

So in short the plan is to release a public beta version of the  patch in the middle of the next week. I hope we won`t have to tackle with any more obstacles.

HA! I knew it! Its that damned Polish beer again, isn't it? You guys have got to get your priorities straight. [:-] And they go off and hide in the woods because their wives and girlfriends won't put up with it anymore, either.

Seriously, the amount of work these guys are putting into a game that went gold going on two months ago is stupifying. When you compare it to the usual, "we've got your cash, what the hell more do you want?" attitude of the vast majority of game publishers (can anyone say SEGA?) they really deserve a lot of credit. (I can tell you that the beta testers are damned near overwhelmed trying to keep up with them, and all that we do is play the stupid thing.)

Kudos unto you, oh Wastelands gurus![&o]

I have to agree completely. Big difference with this group.

I think the whole concept of Strategic Movement needs to be examined.

1) Range - Having eliminated the USSR, I was able to move corps sized units from the east edge of the map to Paris in one week during winter.

2) Encircled units should be prohibited.

3) Only units clear of enemy ZOC's and in or adjacent to cites should be allowed to initiate.

I agree with 1 and 2. At this scale, I can't see doing 3.

Now that you mention it #3 is totally unnecessary.
