I have to say. I am also angry at Matrixgames.
First, WITP. Then Battles in Normandy. Then Battles in Italy. then WITP:AE. Now BoB and BTR.
Guys, stop it. Seriously. All of the games named avobe (but WITP for obvious reasons with AE release) I still play ,and a lot. I don't have that much time in my hands. My days only have 24 hours, I work 8-11 of them, depending on the day, and I need at least 6 hours of sleep to look like a living creature and not a zombie.
You're going to kill me. Damn you, I'm angry! Either you stop making games I'm interested it, or someone invents a day with 36 hours.

Yea, Ok. I kind of come off sounding like a fanbois but the truth is I work with computers (of various sizes and types) and have a pretty good understanding of what is involved in games such as BoB/BtR. I also have very little patience for the desire for eye candy over content. I run fairly modest systems due to my modest income and anytime I can find good gameplay with reasonable resource requirements I'll take it. Now, would it be nice to have variable resolutions with BoB/BtR? Sure. Do I want the developer spending an inordinate amount of time on the issue? No. (I concede that others might.)
But in the end, if you can build a better game, by all means, go for it!! Anyone on this forum would probably at least give it a look if not a buy. This is a niche genre within a niche genre. Strategic air war games are not a dime a dozen.

Hahaha... yeah, that was funny. I'm a lead programmer for one of the world's largest software companies, and sometimes I wish I could say that (or ROTFL) to our clients when they come with constructive critics. Can't do, though... [:D]
