in the middle of the South East Pacific... from my feeling, it´s like as every third TF of mine going throught the Pacific meets an enemy sub at some point... this can´t just always be the lucky stumble over, seems like the subs are reacting around like wild to TFs that get mystically spotted... we´ve installed the latest hotfix with a max reaction of 1 for subs, but as long as the subs aren´t disbanded and put into a new TF the new routine isn´t working and so the subs will still react at what they´ve been set under the previous hotfix... but within the next one and a halve months there won´t be any subs with reaction more than 1 left and that´s good news...

great number of Fortresses attacking... looks like getting them to fly off the small airfield is quite hard. Out of 32, only 4 took off... granted, a couple of them surely weren´t operational but seeing only four in the air was quite depressing... one more thing that really strikes me is the fact that while the aircraft replacement rates are absolutely not matching the needs to maintain our squadrons, halve of the aircraft are lost due to the squadrons withdrawing. So first you put the replacements into squadrons and two or three months later you lose all those aircraft again because the squadrons are withdrawn... so what to do? Not using the airforce at all until late 42??? [8|]
We get 15 B-17 for example and 3/4 of my B-17 squadrons will have to be withdrawn until 9/42 so in fat the 100+ bombers I get will all be withdrawn, which leaves you with not a single heavy bomber more in late 42 like you had at early 42. You gain nothing... Now you could shred all those squadrons with suicide attacks before withdrawing but this also cuts down your experienced pilots (which you can save before withdrawing). The situation with bombers is just depressing. Not even 25% of the US Army bomber squadrons can be used in ongoing frontline service as there are just not enough bombers around to replace losses of every 4th squadron if you leave the rest on the West Coast. Don´t know how I should deal with this, the bomber replacement is just a joke...

the enemy is resting his troops, not even doing a bombardment which is quite surprising to me... not enough supplies or what´s the reason behind this?[&:]

We´re back in WITP where flak seems not to be existing. So far I´ve thought using divebombers against bases would result in at least some immediete losses, this attack proved me wrong. I kept those ships in port as I just didn´t care about them. I´ve moved out an AS and an AG which made it out without being spotted. A very small escort, would have been nice to see 50 Warhawks in the air, but there´s only one fridging fighter squadron in Australia at this date. Will receive two more Warhawk squadrons (not combat worthy as thei´re completely untrained) tomorrow (and two more the next week). But those five squadrons will be withdrawn 15th March again, so filling them up with aircraft from the pool seems to be complete waste, the same goes for all my bomber squadrons. 90% of them will be withdrawn in the next 6 months, so giving them precious bombers seems like a waste. But this would mean we would not have any bomber sqaudrons for attacks until early 43. Great eh?
