SAme probelm as everyone else here.  Started with PAtch 3.  Prior to last patch, very stable.

xp32
windowed mode.
no xp, yp switch.
sound off and set to zero.

command line I am using:  -cpu2 –dd_sw -altFont -colorblind -wd

during orders entry, i can get about 12 - 18 orders, then a funny screen shift and pause, then white screen, then CTD.

EDIT: and going to full screen mode resolves the issue completely. So it is likely something with the windowed mode graphics.

Dear all I need your kindly help,
with patch 3 I have continuosly crashes (I'm don't able to play after two turns).
I try to modify the properties of exe file but I don't understand what I have really to do.
I have crashes in windowed mode too.
I have crashes with sound at 0.
Sometimes the save file lost all the ship at sea, I save turn 1 in two different slot ; the first lost each ship out bases , the second crash during the AI phase.
Sometimes I have crashes during my order phase.
I have :
MS windows xp professional SP3
Intel pentium 4 CPU 3.00Ghz
1.5 GB ram
monitor is 1024x768 32bit
I have updated directx to the last available.

but I play (try to play) generally in full screen, the windowed was a tentative
