East Front September 1914
The northern sector of the front is scantily held by German forces-help will arrive soon as multiple new armies are mobilized. Russian forces are bing quite agressive. The Russian 1st Army continues its advance on Koenigsberg.

Russian A/H Front
The A/H Army was in a position to continue the offense due to the Russians concentrating in the north. There were two successful battle; one at Kielce by involving the 1st A/H Army and at Crasnik. There was also a successful breakthrough battle at Lublin by the 4th Army.

East Front Overview
October 1 1914
This map shows the changes that occurred during the September battles.
The A/H Army is doing fine, but Germany will need those new armies asap.

Battle of Crasnik
This was a major success in that reserves did not need to be committed-thus allowing the breakthrough battle.

Battle of Lublin
The fourth Army exploits its breakthrough to Lublin.

Battle of Kielee
Another cheap victory for A/H.

Battle of Koenigsberg
The German corp left at Koenigsberg was not quite strong enough to stop the Russian 1st Army. However, the fortress has done well in holding out against repeated bombardments.

Siege of Posen
This is very bad news for Germany. For whatever reason (prior battle) the garrison left the fortress. The fortress surrendered.
I can't help but to wonder of the Russian (ai) is actually going to try to reach Berlin.

Armenian Front
Battle of Kars
The Turkish Army made another effort at taking Kars in September. This time it was successful, but still at a high price.

Battle of Kars Results
You can see that this victory came at a price, but it was still a victory. Aside from any military reasons, Turkey must maintain pressure on Russia. If a year goes by without a major attack on Russia, Turkey will suffer from a moral loss.

Austro Hungarian Nat. Budget
October 1914
A/H is running a deficit already. It is minor, but will need to be addressed at some point.

October 1 1914
There is some question as to how to proceed with the western campaign. It seems unlikely that German forces can reach Paris, thus any further attempts in that direction is a waste. Perhaps it will be more prudent-and productive to turn away from Paris and capture the channel ports.
On the other hand, Paris is so close-and where is the French Army?

I would like to keep these abreast of one another. I normally just copy and paste from Matrix to Ageod. Not sure how that will work in reverse-especially in that you can have multiple screenshots per post at Ageod, but only one here at Matrix.
For now Ageod is a bit further along.

This campaign ended with a quick victory-a very unusual event.
