The situation is hopeless for the USSR. Supply levels are very small. The three months weren´t enough to build any significant army and the war with Japan was another blow. I can´t offer any meaningful resistance. The ability to take Turkey was important to defeat the USA. I would suggest to give other production centers to Turkey, as the fall of Istanbul results in the collapse of the country.

Aye bombur we realize  that its too hard on the SU atm.  The problem for explorer is that when you make a change it takes so long to play a game to see the results  that its been a month or more after you made it before you know if it was good or bad.

but we think removing the pressure German allies card will correct most of the problem. That card allowed German to not only get extra turns of production it also allowed them to blast through the Balkans in just a couple turns. where without that card it takes 5 or 6 turns to do it.( sometimes longer if a skillful west player can defend Greece). turns that Russia can use to prepare.

August turn sent.
 
Did assault on Leningrad but it held.  I am hopeful to capture next turn.  I have also begun assaulting Moscow.  I expect this to take 2 turns to capture.  Stalingrad also isolated and should fall in 1-2 turns.

Second August 1941 turn sent.  The Soviets were crushed.  The main line was set up around Moscow and I was able to seize as my two main army groups converged.  I also captured Stalingrad.  Leningrad held due to the lone remaining coastal battery but will fall next turn.  All in all, I destroyed about 1000 infantry of various sorts and most of the remaining Soviet air force. 
 
In the Mid East, I finally captured Cairo.
 
 

Sept 1941 turn sent.  Not much Soviet resistance left.  I captured Kazan and the road to Vladivostock is apparently clear.  17 turns until victory.  I will probably invade Spain while I am waiting
