Either iced tea or Diet Pepsi (depends on what's in the fridge!).

Alcohol and 2-day turns work well as handicap to help AI. [:D]

Half of time = I`m at work (I`m the boss ) fresh water or coffee
Other half of time = Early in the afternoon, more water. Late night = beer, normally Franciskaner

Wine (but best for me to drink white wine--late night red wine stains from falling asleep are a bummer)

or

Gin and tonic with fresh (Tanqueray and Schwepps--for a G and T, it matters a lot what the specific products are)

But then again, I play the AI.


But, of course, this brings in the issue of --when--one plays. I don't usually play during the day or on vacation (which I am now on--just slipped on to look at the forum). My time is weekdays, between about 10pm and 3am. (don't need much sleep, and finally get some time to myself)

1. Tea
2. Corona (if I had TexMex for lunch, like today)
3. Any beer that doesn't make me hurl (I'm looking at you Miller products)

So that is why you chose nickname "aciddrinker"...[:D]

How can you guys drink alcohol when playing AE? I have enough difficulty keeping things straight when I'm stone sober!

Alcohol just adds to the "fun"........It makes a good turn ten times better to view, and a bad one a hundred times worse........

Unfortunately, the alcohol probably also makes the likelihood of a bad turn 100X greater! With me, caution tends to get thrown to the wind after 4 or 5 beers. Downright stupidity sets in 4 or 5 more later.

But that's how you can simulate Percival or ABDA etc. in game! [:D]

The title of the thread reminds me of what my opponent thinks when I send my turn "What is HE drinking?"

sometimes Budweiser, sometimes just a little coffee, sometimes Pinch but when I REALLY want to get into it..................Harrison County corn squeezins with a slash of water!! [;)]

Right now - Ouzo with ice. CR's are infinitely more interesting when you're a tad "tipsy" [:D]

Black coffee or diet Dr. Doctor pepper.

Usually a beer:  Labatts Blue from du Canada.

Too much for sure! Miller Lite among Jack Daniels and Kentucky's finest bourbon.......
