T6 north...4th PzG joined pincers forming a pocket. 16th moved northward providing a strong right flank. I have all my heavy artillery with 18th army now. I replaced I corps commander with Grassner (yellow circle)...@sillyflower, CV's vary due to so many factors, experence, fatuge, size, sub units and so on...

Pyledriver, looks Gary and the team updated the Truck losses details to show captured trucks, lost trucks, etc.... That is awesonme.  How about captured equipment at this point, can you show any equipment captured screens or pool that the Germans could access at this point?

Also for others - Gary, JAW, etc.... Can the captured equipment be given to any of Germany's allies such as Rumania, Italy, Hungary, Finns, Slovaks etc,.....  That may help their combat capability - but checking to see?

Thanks Len

Len and others, please post questions (other than S&T) on the Q&A. Jim, Joel and others are glad to answer. Just playing, posting and real life eats up my time. Also those guys know 99% of the answers...It's like asking a jockey what they feed the horse...

Thanks

I'll answer you quickly here but as Jon said please post your questions on the Q & A thread in the future.

No, you cannot transfer equipment captured in the course of a game from Germany to another Axis Ally. Some captured equipment is built into the TOEs of Axis Allies that would have been captured in previous campaigns (France, '40) or earlier in Barbarossa (45mm AT-guns) but this is NOT the same equipment you captured during the course of an ongoing game.

After reading all of these AARs it would seem that the best strategy is to move very agressively on Leningrad and turn the northern front.  Has anyone tried a South First approach?

T7 center...Hoth and Guderian press eastwards...Notice the railhead advance. Some may chose the route through Minsk, I chose to make sure my flanks are in good supply also.

@Neal, Leningrad is my priority one. As far as south, how far south are we talking? I prefer a wide front advance keeping your flanks in order...

To me, it will be very interesting to see how far I'd have to advance in the north and east, before attempting an offensive deep in the south. My main goal in 41' would be Leningrad, and to get as close to Moscow as possible and dig in. Try for a line down to Rostov.

It would be great if someday this game could be linked to a Western Theatre and North African/Middle-East Theatre games. Would be interesting to see what would happen with a German win in N. Africa and how that would affect the Eastern Front.
Pray that your loneliness may spur you into finding something to live for, great enough to die for.

T8 BAR center...After air recon this is what I face. If you had a question how well the AI reacts just look. Not to shabby, its slowing me down and throwing troops where its needed...Look above and compare...I did reduce that small pocket...

T8 DAR south...Once agian the AI recovers well. It seems it has a pro Moscow defence. I reduced the pockets and plan go forward agian. The railhead is well balanced for my plans...

I was thinking a full blown hell bent for leather run for the Caucuses!  I know that it is probably foolhardy and unsuppliable but I think it would be interesting to see.

Neal your lucky to get to Rostov in 41 because of supply and time. This game wont allow you to do things that are far fetched...
