I can't believe I forgot about this game, one of the MOST AWESOME FREE-FORM RPGS you can find out there, and constantly modded and updated:

Just 20$, and it's a medieval fantasy type game, with the player being thrown in the middle of the land of Calradia, a beggar on most starting settings, and you can make a name for yourself as a mercenary, trader, lord, and eventually become king. Check it out, I stopped playing it because I was not getting out of the house anymore, and that was pretty bad. I was still halfway through building my kingdom and had just managed to convince an old friend of mine from the kingdom of the nords to join my Kingdom, we were kickin'

Cheers

The new Deus Ex looks more promising than I initially thought. It's got the classic drag and drop menu system (that's pc exclusive) amongst other things. I think the original Deus Ex grabbed me so much because it was the first RPG that I played (!).

Same here Webbco, same here. My impressions pretty much went:
"Oh Yeah! New Deus Ex! This is great time to live for a player",
Then: "I'm a bit worried. Maybe they simplify/stupify it too much, or don't catch the cyper-punk feeling the original had."
And in the end: "Ooh, the dev team seem to know what they are doing. Art and audiovisuals are just great. The trailers look and sound great! Can't friggin' wait!"

I'll be getting it for 360, mainly 'cause I'm not sure if I can get new computer any time soon. Never had problems with ports as long as they do the optimizing well and don't leave anything out from different versions. I've grown familiar with pads in recent years.

You mean the AAR? I'd say in the near future. The next big update for Woodmans mod would definetly provide some serious gusto.

I WILL do it. Kiadians word! Just can't reliably say when.

Oops, sorry about that. The Deus Ex: Human Revolution is supposed to be released 26.08.2011 in Europe and 23.08.2011 in North America.
Just check the homepage for it. Pretty nice stuff there. Especially the Sarif Industries site.

Thx, J, as usual I ended up playing an old one (homm 2) and did not play the first deus ex. But have watched a let's play of it on youtube and it's an awesome game so I may get the one coming out this year.
