The war in India is going quite well for Japan so far.

Updates run a little behind as this forum is open to my opponent and I do not want to give away too much details...

Japan had until thusfar no interest in Luzon, but now finally some troops landed at Lucena

Since there are less Japanese troops than Allied troops on Luzon it is time for a counter offensive

India is still a mess, but the situation is improving a bit...

Japanese troops have bypassed Luzon and forgot to hunt for blockade runners. An opportunity to take full advantage. Too bad I didn't get a few more months cause then I would have shipped a couple more divisions to the Philippines

It seems the Philippines are isolated from the outside world again. Nevertheless supplies and AV strength have improved a bit. When fort levels rize above six the numbers turn red. What does this mean?

Japanese troops have landed at Perth, but so far it doesn't seem there are sufficient units to take it. Especially since the 1st Australian Army is approaching with quite some units...

The effort required and supplies consumed to build fortifications is non-linear, increasing as the fort level goes higher. IIRC it even increases between fort levels as the %complete of the next level gets higher. In addition, to build forts beyond level 6 requires a certain minimum amount of supplies at the base. I forget at this moment if the amount is 25,000 or 30,000, but it's one of those two figures. When the base has less the fort numbers turn red because further fort building is not allowed due to being below the minimum supplies on-hand required.

The whole point of course is to make it easy to build lower levels of forts but much, much more difficult to build higher levels.

dennishe, I must say that I have been inspired by your style of presenting AARs.  This is great stuff!

I've been looking for a way to post an AAR and make it interesting.  I hope that it's not offensive to you in any way that I borrow some ideas from your presentation.

The Australians put up a strong fight. Hopefully this will shut up Tokyo Rose for a while.

The Americans are still making life miserable for the Japanese troops in the Philippines.

Since the Southwest Pacific Command arrived and since there is a lot of action in the Solomon, New Caledonia and Fiji area I decided to start a seperate chapter on this theatre.

In the Philippines the situation is still looking very good. The USAFFE is stronger than ever and the fortress levels at Clark, Manilla and Bataan are high. MacArthur is aiming to keep Luzon until early 1943. Then they should be releaved by reinforcements...
