Supply is the main problem in this area. The few enemy units that have appeared are being dealt with.

What a difference a few hundred German tanks and their friends makes down here!

Turn 13
I realize I can get the decisive victory sooner than I think. I have 280 points now, without Leningrad of course.
A lot of pioneer, stug and heavy nebelwerfer SU's are transferred from OKH to 18th army to help with the assault on Leningrad next turn.
4th Panzer Army heads back south through friendly territory instead of east of the swamps through the heavy forests; that is for the Finns.

The highlight here is the unit rushing to Chkalov! 6th army tanks drive east to see if they can get to the Urals; just for fun. I have not been driving the units in this area very hard because of the supply and overall game situation.

Opposition is virtually gone here and the headlong rush to Baku begins.

Turn 14
Leningrad proper and the city next to it fall. All the SU's transferred in really helped. I managed to pick up a few more points from other cities to end it. Here are the final positions.

Here are the losses.
Figuring the starting numbers here are the net results.
Axis
Men 189,499
Guns 3,172
AFV 1,206
Planes 1,271
Soviet
Men 3,885,686
Guns 61,089
AFV 8,575
Planes 8,413
Note: This does not include all the Soviets still trapped in the Leningrad area. It is probably 300,000-500,000 more men. Not bad!!

Ending armies
The Soviets still have more tanks!
I don't know where an army almost the size of mine is hiding. Where are 2.8 million men? Perhaps 300,000-500,000 still near Leningrad but that still leaves over 2.3 million.

must be depressing for axis players to know even if russia looses the whole country, they still have more tanks and planes than Germany
