I like SoaSE just 'cause its pretty much slow paced RTS in space, mixed with some light 4X elements. Very enjoyable game, but you must not be allergic to RTSs in general. Now that I think of it, it reminds me of Conquest: Frontier Wars, which too was very good space RTS.

Yap, I've also read it's slow paced if you choose so....reminds me of DW, will give it a try. Thx all for your input on my usual OT ranting.

Already done the first ship. I must admit I was quite impressed by the games graphics. I'm going to make a couple more shipsets out of it for sure. Anyway, I haven't picked the colour scheme yet. I like grey best, but that might be just my 'humanish' tendencies and I want this shipset to be 'alienish' :P. Any suggestions from more experienced sci-fi fans?

Heres the ships:

Most of it is made out of the big advent carrier J HG T requested. Hope SoSE fans don't mind the changes I made. I usually try to make new ships using parts of others, rather then copy the original ones.

All 3 colours work really well, but the magenta one looks the best IMO.

Being a non-native english speaker I also wondered about that some time ago and found that there are actually a ton of words where you can use both variations like for color / colour. I think it's about the uk english and american english.

The Unity is pleased, Kalthaniell.

Though, this individual might complain a little about changing the features of the beautiful Halcyon, the new version still looks excellent. Blue, green or magenta would be this ones choices for colors.

I'm romanian, TJ. That goes to show you: I thought you were israeli (because of the Moshe Dayan quote I think) and Igard english.
I will refrain from making skirt comments though

YOU'RE A ROMULAN!!!!????!!!!!

Oh wait, I misread that. You're a Romanian. [:D]

And FYI, the Kilt struck fear into the hearts of all those on the battlefield. Mainly because we don't wear anything underneath! [;)]

Romania? Really?
That is neat. But I also do not want to see the cost of shipping the DW CDRom [:D] to you...
And do not feel bad about IGard... the only way I knew is because I kept hearing bagpipes in the cargo hold. [;)][:D]

No Moshe Dayan was just one of those guys who had a classic saying for all occasions... that one was at a press conferece.

because I kept hearing bagpipes in the cargo hold

that clears it....we should expect to see romulans with kilts and bagpipes in a future mod [:)]

I would not like to find myself figthing these guys. I wonder how a romulan version of William Wallace looks like though....

Seems most of you like magneta best (though I always thought of it as pinkish-violet :P )so I'll be applying that to all the ships. This colour scheme reminds me of a race from the last seasons of the Star Trek DS9. Dominion was the name I think.

I go for the last ship. The one with the white lights, though the magenta ship really looks great, too. The Dominion.....yeah, it really looks like one of their battle ships. I think the purple design would fit well to an insectoid race.

It´s always a pleasure to look at your moddings Kalthaniell. [&o]  and use´em [:D]

It would be great if you go for the white overlay. Could use it for my revamped securian warrior race.

Thx Tigan.

I could do both acctually and release the greyish one as alternate version. It's 30 sec of work for each ship, so it's not a problem. Btw, I've done military ships and now I'm starting to work on civilian. With luck the set(s) will be ready by tomorrow.

Dominion, good memories again [:)]
I think Kalthaniell can make the resources available and then we can use whatever colors we like to take it further, kinda like a second tier modders [:)]
