Grasshopper Wodin,
I found Kung Fu to be boring when I was younger, I can never even remember a fight in it.
Kung Fu is nothing short of epic. Here is my one of my favorite episodes;

^What he said. Brilliant series with a quiet drifter kicking ass - only when he had to!

OK Grasshopper...

To be honest i may have been abit young for it to grab my attention, I think it was on during the time of Tom Baker as Dr Who and the Hulk etc, those Start
sky and Hutch and the professionals are the programmes I remember well from the late 70's very early eighties. Oh and Wonderwoman my sister loved it. Blimey just rememberd Spiderman aswell was on back then as a series.

There's a couple of good films on the telly tonite: 'In Bruge' and 'Waterloo'. Christopher Plummer was a great Wellington.

Dr Who with Tom Baker was absolutely superb indeed. I have all the episodes somewhere and all the Kung Fu series as well. Glory be!

Never try and watch Waterloo with a miniatures guy in the room. Otherwise, you won't be able to listen to the movie for him detailing the inaccuracies in the uniforms![:-]

The new Indiana Jones by Mr. Plinkett. If you don't know who he is make sure to watch his Star Wars prequels reviews - they are very insightful.

Gettysburg - Blue Ray Directors cut.

Based on the book Killer Angels, This was my favorite movie before but the Directors cut improves it. About 17 minutes added to the theatrical version that helps filll in more about some of the events/decisions (not additional battle scenes).

If you like the civil war period or Killer Angels and/or just war movies, worth your time to see.

Saving Private Ryan. The True Story. (Discovery Channel).

Very interesting program re the true story of the Niland brothers and the comparison with the Ryan brothers from the Spielberg film (happily two of the four brothers survived in real life - the airman brother shot down over Burma (south Pacific in the film) was captured by the Japanese and escaped when the Japanese retreated).

Also looks at the accuracy of some of the films scenes. The boats used to land the troops were inaccurate - it was British crewed LCA's used at Omaha. The chances of receiving a fatal shot underwater was practically nil. The sniper shot from the range in the film 450 metres was impossible (travelling through the other sniper's sight and into his eye) due to the way a bullet travels over such a distance.

Interesting stuff.

I watched "The Children of Huang-Shi" last night. Saving Chinese orphans from the Japanese in 1937. True story... sad ending.

Unforgettable movie.
