By end of T12 71 HI captured or locked + 81 Arms + 28 vehicle, + odds and ends of light tanks and aircraft but nothing important.

T14. L'grad falls and finns sweep through. Quite a few Commies stuck in far North and I hope to isolate and chew them in due course. 11th inf div was pursuing this strategy a bit too enthusiastically and may be the 1st time I've ever lost a div. in '41.

The battle for Moscow continues as G troops freed from Lgrad battle steam down from the North, hotly pursued by a rail conversion unit.



B has concentrated his remaining forces in the central area and is putting up very stiff resistance in the Moscow area. A hard grind but National Socialist fervour will prevail.

Tula's 10 remaining arms factories are locked down and German infanrtry is adjacent to Orel.

South - playtime for panzers. For those who have petrol anyway. Sumy fell wthout a fight this turn and Kharkov was stormed. Belgorod isolated with 2 inf divs inside - 1 of which kindly retreated into it.



Pars of 2 PzG unexpectedly find themselves across the Don south of Rostov. Only 1 town to fall to release AG A+B split which will help C&C in the winter. Inc Belgorod 6 inf and 4 cav divs in secure pockets.

Crimea being worked through though Sevastopol looks like a hard nut to crack. I intend to take Kerch but not to cross over to mainland this year.

Losses by end G T14. I have 167K Hiwis in waiting whick means actual Commie losses are over 1.1M so far. I'm happy with low level of my losses, particulaly as my armour losses are only about 50% which is low seeing how far I have travelled.

leave B with too few troops to do anything very much though he is fighting manfully - unlike most players who would probably have disappeared ages ago sadly.

ORBAT. Russians seem to have been stuck on 3.5m men for a while, but AFVs and arty numbers continue to decline.

Indeed I do - and have just checked for our little spat.

T16 2 big pockets (see below) Should clear most of both next turn but Moscow itself may have to wait for the snow. Tula certainly will have to.

Elsewhere I should get AG A+B next turn assuming it is working properly now. 5 or 6 othe commie divs in unbreakable pockets and several more at risk for next turn.

Belephegor hanging in there like a Canadian wolverine as I try to finish him off.

Apart from clearing pockets, I plan to spend the snow putting my cardboard into nice winter homes L, M and donbass etc as well as the heimat as well as trying to chew some more commies and to put more empty space between russians and front lines. Sevastopol being a bit (very) stubborn but I hope to clear it in the snow. Kerch fell this turn.

Over the whole map there are about 50 divs in secure pockets, and about 10 more at risk for next turn if they are not careful. I will probably have caused about 4M casualties by then. I will also have captured 70 HI + 82 Arms +38 vehicle + sundry trivia so I doubt he will have much offensive capacity in Dec. I hope to avoid him hitting my defence lines until Jan which will be a bit too late for him.

Spring should see the Wehrmacht refreshed and ready to repeat its triumphs.

I would not blame B for wanting to call it a day but no one can accuse him of being a quitter

Top performers get to enjow warm winter billets - apart from the mountain div of course

airforce performance. Note one of highest performers was a small unit using old biplanes. I intend to reward them with experimental ME262s next year.

Well, it would have been if I hadn't saved aircraft over it so I will have to give ORBAT instead.

For a brief moment the Wehrmacht has more men guns and tanks than the commies.

OOOPs no. I saved over that as well. Just as well I'm not quite so useless at the game itself. You will just have to trust me, but I'm a lawyer so that won't be hard[:)]

Now some badly saved and drawn maps. My attempt at straight white line is where winter defence line will be, more or less

middle.

I intend to hold just east of L'grad to Moscow rail line which will finish being converted in mud to give resilience against terrorist attacks, and to retain Moscow + Tula, latter with its 10 remaining arms factories being main priority in my snow offensive before as much armour and high morale inf goes back to snug quarters in Poland where they can also refit.




Rail conversion has reached Moscow and Orel. I will join them up via Tula when I can and also convert south towards Kharkov.

Will probably retreat West to cities in Dec if come under any pressure.

South

I would like to hold Rostov but won't risk high losses trying but will hope to stay close enough to the lower Don to get back over in spring snow. Crimea cleared apart from S'pol which I hope to take with 18A in the snow.

Given that B's losses are almost 4M already (after including converts to the Hiwi way of life which disappear from losses count), and the loss of so many manpower centres and factories I suspect few Russians would still be playing, but I fear I will have endure blizzaed. It may be a bit like bein assulted by Montgomery Burns, but he will try

Nice job 3 million dead alrdy and allot of manpower centers over run.

My advise on the winter lines is push east as far as possible during snow.

Leave behind 1/3 of divisions to dig as regiments.

Retreat 1 hex at a time until your back at the guys digging from Tula north. South of that just keep retreating.

All them there armament pts, manpower centers and KIA reds will not matter at all unless you have a good spring followed up by a good 42 summer.
