OK. The starting turn for 82ndtrooper is in the DropBox (you all should have received an email inviting you to join the DropBox folder for Rise of Nations).

Can someone please explain to me the naming convention of the game file? Why does it have to include everyone's name? I know there must be a good reason, I'm just not getting it. Thanks, looking forward to playing!

Yea,I am in a similar situation as this is the first time I am using dropbox myself. The file naming system has me a bit befuddled as well.

I'm basically done with my turn now,not a single problem using dropbox and playing my turn.

So the Peoples Republic is done and about to be posted soon as i end my turn#1 and I'll post back to dropbox in Rise of nations file and that will then pass it on to the next player,please excuse the file naming as i am still just confused as to why we are not using the empire names we are playing in Rise of nations?

Great,just dandy..........fellas I am worried I screwedup our very first turn.The file string was a bit long and i didn't see the "to82" at the end of the save. Also I was under the impression that dropbox sent us our turns as they came due to us and just realized it posts them in the box for all to see right away. So I may well have just downloaed and played 82nds first turn. Big Opps here,i have it password protected but on the first turn can anybody open the first file until somebody password protects it?[&:]

So I have quite possibly started the game with a mess by going out of turn,serves me right for doing the turn before coffee in the AM. How do we want to do this now? make me player#1 and carryon? Or restart? very sorry for the stupidity guys.

The file naming convention is just something we have used in previous games to keep track of turn order.

BTW, the turn number at the end of the file name should go 001a, 001b, etc. When the second round of play starts, the turn number at the end of the file will go 002a, 002b, etc.

I think the best thing to do is just restart the game with the same turn order. We're not that far in. I will regenerate the game start.

Remember to change the "to???" on the file. There is currently a file in the DropBox that says "to82-001b". I think that is is the turn that 82Trooper just completed and is supposed to go to TopHat1812. So the turn should be labelled "toTH-001b".

I'll go ahead and change the name on the file in order to correct it.

Got it and had no problem downloading and doing my turn. problem arose when i went to place turn into dropbox.At this moment I can't find the turn,must not have saved it correctly so doing it overand will place it shortly.

Problem solved turn complete and placed in dropbox for CB listed 001c...........So over to you CB

Looks like we have two "toCB-001c" turns now in the DropBox. Can you delete the incorrect one?

Could I just do the turn that's there and change the order? I could change the fliename to correspond.
