RE: CV Kaga....missed!?!

Doh! I got so excited seeing you do something with Allied carriers in Dec 41 that I missed that part. [:D]
What's your Strategy?

Can you do that on all of the US CVs? I thought only the Sara and Lex had that kind of capacity.
Another question on this issue is about over-filling CVs. If they go into the red is there any drop-off in performance or getting planes into the air quickly for CAP and strikes?

The Yorktown class have 90 capacity as well. They all just start with undersized fighter squadrons. It's a pretty standard tactic amongst experienced players to supplement with Marine fighters until the carrier fighter squadrons resize to 36.
It takes about 3 months for the Marine squadrons to become carreir trained, but even as carrier capable the ops losses are not significant.
The plan is to only let their capacity go into the "orange" not red. And I have seen no discernable drop off in performance in the orange.

The warships I had hoped to be able to sink show up over to the NW, yes NW, of Rabaul and run into some of the escaping transports making their way down the north and east coast of New Guinea from Luzon. I had not even thought of this possibility!! I had moved my 2 CV TFs, 2 SC TF, and left Force Z at Rabaul with the plan of sinking numerous ships trying to get back to Truk. DUH!! [8|][8|] I should have had either a V-8 or slept in a Holiday Inn Express to help me out...[:D]Night Time Surface Combat, near Saidor at 100,122, Range 1,000 Yards
