Must be your system, I turn off the silhouettes and use the boxes and my slow laptop does fine.
Only jumping around is when combat is taking place and the game tries to centre on the combat.

Do the boxes move smoothly across the map when intercepting incoming bombers. On my game the planes "jump" from point to point rather jerky, as I previously mentioned. Should I be getting a rather smooth sliding of the boxes across the map?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I dont play The Evil Empire, only the good guys.
Havent seen any jumpiness, you get to see the intercepting flights and all looks smooth. I do turn off sound effects, background etc etc and only have basic things running.

Same here, and I play only the Evil Empire.

Or, when you play Evile Empire and select Message Level=3, the screen jumping here and here for all recon photos...very tedious. Try Message Level=2; the screen jumping here and here too, but at least is faster because you don't get the
"A/628 take recon photo" messages.
@VegasOZ: maybe I misanderstood your question, I understand albione language, but not so well. [:D]

I wish they would at least release the source code so there was a chance somebody could dig around and try to figure out how to tweak some things.

I would second that! I still play this game. I have yet to find something that could top this or WITP.
But I am not programmer, so I am no expert on what it would take to make this game better. j

A lot of you have probably read Erik's announcement by now and have assumed game development is dead. This is not quite the case yet. We are actively testing Harley's last patch to see if it works. Once we are convinced that it does not cause any in game conflicts, computer crashes, etc. it will be released. Be patient, you all have done a fine job of waiting this long, so a little longer won't hurt will it?[:)]

Well as there is little development on this game I thought I might share this with you, as a little teaser...
I cant promise how long it will take but it WILL BE COMPLETED I can guarantee you that now.
Not sure if this picture will upload or not.

And another...
Please excuse the markings on the B17, they're for testing at the moment and once the core mechanics are completed I'll be finishing off the models and textures.
