The Chinese units around Ichang have some of the best experience levels among Chinese armys. Their leaders are also better than most. You will not have so much trouble with most of the other Chinese units.
You also got a "-" for disruption, meaning your troops were not rested enough to attack well.

I think it is also a mistake to use a shock attack in the beginning of a battle - you do not know what you are facing and you send your troops out in the open to make a "Banzai Charge". It is best to use shock attack only when you know you have weakened the enemy a lot by bombing or bombarding him for a long time, or after deliberate attacks to remove his forts and wear him down. Your second attack was a deliberate attack, but your troops were still badly disrupted and fatigued from the shock attack and could not fight well.

Some players bring extra units to wait just outside the battle hex, and after the first battles they send in the fresh units and send out the most disrupted of the units already fighting. This allows them to keep attacking, and does not give the enemy any rest.

This shock attack is a thing by fording. I did not know that enemy was such big. The fight of the river is difficult. When time when an enemy is weak or gambling for capture is necessary, I use shock attack.

I am reading other AARs and got to know a word called DEI.
I do not understand well.

DEI is an acronym (abbreviations in all capital letters) for the Dutch East Indies. In the game, this refers to the formerly Dutch colonies throughout (present) Indonesia, Malaysia, Borneo and so forth.

I know very little about managing the Japanese economy, but I find it hard to believe that your supplies all spoiled. Most of your ports with large amounts of supply would be big enough to have no spoilage at all. What I do know:

1. If you set many of your industries to expand it will use up a lot of supply very quickly. When you initially click on the "Expand" order a chunk of supply over 2,000 points is instantly used. Then, each turn that the industry expands by "repairing" one point, it uses 1000 supply. If you expanded 100 industries in various locations, that is over 100,000 supply used every turn. Keep in mind that it takes nearly 3 years to pay back the 1000 supply used to increase one point of heavy industry or light industry. Be very careful with your industry expansion and turn off "Repair" for any that are not essential.

2. Units that have less than their TOE [Table of Establishment, the list of troops and equipment each unit is authorized to have] will draw the missing troops and equipment or vehicles unless you set "No Replacements". Each time the unit draws more equipment, supply is used.

3. Base and fortification building also uses supply. Only build the bases that you expect to use as major ports and airfields or fortresses against land attack. Once you complete the major bases you can begin improving some of the smaller bases.

4. Shipbuilding and aircraft building use a lot of supply. Consider turning off anything you are not sure you need.

5. Japan's industries use more fuel and resources than are generated in the main Islands. You need to haul fuel and resources as quickly as possible from places like Shikuka, Hakodate, Port Arthur, Shanghai, Saigon, Bangkok and Palembang. Managing these convoys will be your constant challenge. If you do not get enough fuel and resources to Japan, supply production will slow up.

There is a thread in "The War Room" section of this forum on running the Japanese economy. It will help you a lot.

The adjective "East" is included because there was a "Dutch West Indies" - Dutch colonies in the Caribbean Sea. When European explorers set out to find India by sailing west, they reached the islands of the Caribbean and found some people with darker skin than themselves. They decided they must be in a part of India, and they called the native peoples "Indians". Only later when they discovered the Pacific Ocean on the other side of the Americas, did they know that they were not yet at India. Since India was known to be to the East of Europe [from land travelers like Marco Polo], it was called East India while the islands in the Caribbean Sea were called the "West Indies".

Japan did not have this ignorance of the location of India, so there was no "East" or "West" when you write about India.
