No Dutch in me, but who doesn't like the name Rotterdam? I know I do.

I take more offense being called a Midwesterner. In the Ozarks we are of fine Southern stock and being called a Midwesterner is tantamount to spitting in ones eyes. My home town was burned to the ground by 'Midwesterners'.

Right parusski, you live near southern missouri - get round there and sort this out now.

6 hours later and it's dinner again. Served with mac n cheese, green beans, baked red potato, and cornbread with local honey.

Been sipping on Gentelmans Jack all day. That is some good stuff.

Hey Mo sorry about that! Truth is southern Iowa is nothing like northern Iowa. Imagine if Missouri did join the BIG.

So true. So true. A little story about her. When she was 12 her vice principal of her school called me and told me that she had been suspended from school for one day. The school bully assaulted my daughter and my daughter wiped her out. When the VP asked me how did it happen that the bully, who was the size of an adult female ended up with messed up hair and bruises all over her face and my daughter who was little and didn't have a hair out of place, I answered that my daughter had just finished her 8th year of Chinese Kenpo.

The VP was impressed. She said it was self defense but she still had to suspend her because she went into overkill. So what did I do to my daughter? I took her out to lunch while everyone else was in school.

Some of my in laws said that my daughter should have taken the beating and run to a teacher. Hell no. No one messed with her for the rest of the year. Well I did when she stopped doing her homework but thats another story. Guadalcanal was tame compared to that....
