ckammp regurgitates American Hater talking points
wealthy business owners

That says it all. Dear God. Do you or have you worked for a living? If so I want you to tell us, was your boss/people who paid you POOR??? I bet not. What am I implying? Duh, without wealthy business owners who the hell would pay people??[X(][>:][X(][8|][8|][8|]

Your damn right I work for a living. What the hell do you do? Judging by the amount of time you spend writing inane bullshit in these forums, I'm guessing you have a lot of time on your hands, like the typical lazy freeloaders you claim to loathe.
Those "wealthy business owners" wanted a revolution not for their workers' sake, but to have the freedom to tax themselves, rather than have a distant government tax them. And what do you think they did when they won? Set up legal exemptions for themselves and passed on the taxes to the workers. The same principle applies today. If you think whatever wealthy business owner who supposedly pays your salary really gives a damn whether or not you have a job, you are even more deluded than a Democrat.

I can't imagine why no one realizes that SLAAKMAN is actually George W. Bush, according to many of a certain political BENT to be the most evil human to ever live. In 1551 S. Ambrose discovered Brazilian Peanut butter and that changed history. Everyone knows that all evil is rooted in something. Evil comes from THERE. I am not ranting. Go repair my toilet, it leaks urine from Barry Goldwater and Barrack Hussein Obummer. Hey, you kids get off my damned lawn. George Bush was given the presidency on the day of his birth, by Michael Corleone. And then I discovered someone had stolen my gold eagle coins to pay for SLAAKMAN's plastic surgery. Anyway, I hate ranting conspiracy nuts.

And here I thought he was Lyndon Larouche in disguise [;)]

Oh great, you gave away the entire end of my story.[:-]

WOW.

But, my boss is a billionaire and he pays me for a job I do. He also employee's 8,800 other people. He deserves everything he earns.
But relax. I never get angry at people with different opinions. Dialog is impossible with vitriol.

Quite right Parusski, old bean. Now, as my loyal and faithful servant, please walk the dog and pick up the mail on your way out. Oh-put out my dinner coat and tails before you go, please.

Intellectually vapid. A clear representation of socialist/progressive historical thought.

You have no knowledge of the "real history" of the American Revolution. Or, the founding principles of the country.
Do some research? When did taxes enter the picture? Especially the progressive income tax.

Politicians should be your targets. Even those who are not wealthy seem to be willing to make themselves rich and the entire country poor for the power they believe is put into their hands. (Both D's and R's).
Sadly, we have gotten so far away from where the true power resides (THE PEOPLE), and have been fed "the wealthy are the enemy" bovine excreta line so often, that our citizens have let themselves be legislated to the class of sheep. It's easy to get people on your side when you go against "them" (not just the rich but other who are not you).

Serfs lorded over by the ruling class. That is why we had a revolution in the first place?

The truth is that no poor person ever created and sustained a single job. The majority of employment comes from small business owners. Most of our poor are considered rich by world standards.

A lot of the early "wealthy" founding fathers ended up dead, their families dead, or poor. "Lives, fortunes, and sacred honor" meant something to them. Little to some today.

This discussion started off with "un-historical" "facts". It is being sustained by it too.
My two cents.

Nice discussion. [:)]

Yes, our "poor" are upset that they cannot buy more than a 42" flat screen TV, or own the latest IPad. And, they are furious that they cannot eat out in a restaurant more than twice a week.
Or, that their house does not have a garage?

It used to be that when a person drove home in a brand new car someone would say "wow, I need to work harder so that I can buy myself a new car." Now they say, "look at the rich b*st*rd flaunting his wealth". How far we have moved in such a short time?

A very wise person once said, "there will be poor amongst us always".
If everyone had more than a million dollars, the ones with "just a million" will complain against those who have ten million? Poor millionaires, eh?

Where does it stop? Maybe people need to see the inherent "wealth" within themselves?

Oh thank you wealthy land-owning Lord. I worship people who got rich by stealing from the wealthier poor. Thank you for your mere existence.

As to meeting the SLAAKER, that will be no problem, for now. But he will control the universe one day and we will all kneel before him.

barkorn45 attempts to confuse certain people with facts:

We are the only country on earth where the "poor"have an obesity problem!

Shame, shame you wealthy aristocrat. Just because the average poor American is wealthy when compared to poor serfs around the world does not take away from the fact of their ongoing enslavement by those evil rich people(who get rich off those who have nothing). Brilliant![:D]

Dare I ask for "more, sir".

No, sir!

I shall sell my loaf by the slice and then purchase a shoe shine kit. Then I can shine the shoes of the wealthy for pennies. They've got more shoes than I have bread.
Eventually I shall save enough to purchase my own bread ... or ... I can wait for progressives to make the minimum wage $100 per hour ... and then I can buy a Corvette! [X(]

Yes, I have seldom seen a more vapid response that what you wrote.

"When did taxes enter the picture?" - do you have any clue at all what the American Revolution was about? If you are so woefully ignorant, perhaps you shouldn't be trying to discuss it in the first place.

"Serfs lorded over by the ruling class" - Do you even know what a serf is? Here's a clue: think Russian Revolution, not American Revolution. There were slaves in the colonies, but there certainly weren't any serfs.

Please feel free to list what is surely an extensive list of founding fathers who ended up dead and their families destitute. Even better, name just one.
"Lives, fortune, and sacred honor"? - again, name one of these brave fellows who actually fought and died in the war they started. Cutless cowards like Samual Adams were great at whipping up propaganda, but when the shooting started they were the first to run and hide. And when the shooting ended, they were the first to profit.

You should keep your two cents (is that all your benevolent wealthy business owner that created your job pays you?) and spend some time researching real facts, rather than mindlessly accepting repeated propaganda.

Oh, I am very well-trained, thank you.
I am also very well-read and informed about the American Revolution and it's causes and effects. Perhaps you should try to make yourself a little bit more educated about it before trying to continue this conversation.

Can I ask both sides in this interesting argument for their favourite, one-volume book of choice on the subject please?

Many thanks.

Proofs of a Conspiracy Against All the Religions and Governments of Europe Carried on in the Secret Meetings of Freemasons, Illuminati and Reading Societies (c.1798)
Image
John Robison (1739–1805) was a Scottish physicist and mathematician. He was a professor of philosophy at the University of Edinburgh. A member of the Edinburgh Philosophical Society when it received its royal warrant, he was appointed as the first General Secretary to the Royal Society of Edinburgh. Robison invented the siren and also worked with James Watt on an early steam car. Following the French Revolution, Robison became disenchanted with elements of the Enlightenment. He authored Proofs of a Conspiracy in 1797—a polemic accusing Freemasonry of being infiltrated by Weishaupt's Order of the Illuminati. Robison and French priest Abbé Barruel independently developed similar views that the Illuminati had infiltrated Continental Freemasonry, leading to the excesses of the French Revolution. In 1798, the Reverend G. W. Snyder sent Robison's book to George Washington for his thoughts on the subject in which he replied to him in his Letter to the Reverend G. W. Snyder (24 October 1798). Modern conspiracy theorists like Nesta Webster and William Guy Carr believe that Robison's book described what the Illuminati may have started was the template for the subversion of otherwise benign organizations by radical groups through the 19th and 20th centuries. Spiritual Counterfeits Project editor Tal Brooke has compared the views of Proofs of a Conspiracy with those found in Carroll Quigley's Tragedy and Hope (Macmillan, 1966). Brooke suggests that the new world order, which Robison believed Adam Weishaupt (founder of the Illuminati) had in part accomplished through the infiltration of Freemasonry, will now be completed by those holding sway over the international banking system (e.g., by means of the Rothschilds' banks, Federal Reserve, IMF, and World Bank).

Slaakman, sorry, my fault for not making clear. I meant books concerning the causes of the American War of Independence. I am afraid the whole Freemason, Illuminati, Jewish world conspiracy thang is of no interest to me.
