The tanks are rolling again. I hope to be able to finish turn 1 tomorrow.
There is a bug in this version in that if the German player activates the Finns he losses big time. As well as the problem with the supply units the Finns do not move until turn 6 when they would normally move and because the Finns have been activated the Russian player gets an increase in production.
I think the solution is to turn event 505 into a trigger to activate the Finns.

I don't remember Soviet units being able to be divided. Well, you can divide them now. For those of you who don't want the Soviet
units to divide ( to simulate rather poor leadership etc. ) I guess you'll have to come up w/ a house rule about it and agree before you
start the game. I'm kinda wondering what John feels like about it.

I've taken a look at these events and I would suggest changing ev564 to activate ev67 instead of ev505. I would also suggest to return ev505 to its original configuration (as seen in post #56 here).
Also, ev318 makes no sense to me (where is Ron, can he help decipher some of this?). I would recommend making ev318 a non-event.

I don't remember Soviet units being able to be divided.
The original version used all 2000 Soviet unit slots so there was no room for units to divide. Ron's version uses only 1,903 units, so he must have removed some Soviet units.

I'm going to leave all the changing to John Fogger and when he runs into a roadblock he can send me the copy of the scenario he's
working on and I'll have a look at it. I thank you for your analysis and so on.

I can't make much sense out of event 318 either. I can't tell if it's activating an event or if it's cancelling an event. And if it is, which
event is it cancelling or activating. It looks like ev318 gets activated IF ev564 is activated and ev504 gets cancelled. I think.

Close, but the actual effect is that when ev564 activates, ev504 is canceled, with a delay of two turns. Ev564 automatically activates on turn 1 (when the TO to Activate Finland appears), which means that ev504 is automatically canceled on turn 3. Ev504 is the event that removes the Supply Point at Riga when the Soviets capture Konigsberg.
This is why I asked where Ron was, because I don't like trying to decipher a designers design. This is also why I said ev318 didn't make sense to me. The suggestions I made earlier will hopefully cure issues that have been pointed out, I don't know if anything else will pop up later.

Hey you guys, I found another Romanian unit that needs to be fixed. I'm guessing it needs 97 Romanian squads in place of that spare
equipment.

In the back of my mind I read it in one of the briefing notes for an ealier version so I assumed that it was in this version. I could be wrong

Just looking further and it appears that all the Finn coastal forts and the Rum coastal forts are the same ie have spare equipment slots

Is it possible to edit the forces once a game has started? I have just sent Larry my first turn for a second time and I would hate to have to do it again.

It's my understanding that it is indeed possible but I'm not sure how to do it myself. I think it involves using the evil editor and loading the
PBL file as if it was an SCE file. In other words you might have to rename your file to make it look like an SCE so the editor will load it as
a scenario file. I think.
I propose that we play w/ what we have and maybe use house rules to get around the problems. Unless you want to restart again.

I've received some moves from John and watched the replay etc. He's off to a good start. I've lost bou cou rifle squads and planes and
I'm going to miss the IL-4's the most. The greatest majority of the aircraft losses are the biplanes ( I-15's ) and those WWI pursuit planes
( I-16's ). I've still got something like 35K rifle squads out in the field and another 35K on hand. I lost a handful of tanks but there's more
where that came from.

I was going to give you guys a tour of the front lines as they are now but I've found something interesting I want to share w/ you guys.
This HQ unit has no movement points left and I don't know if that has anything to do w/ it but I expected to be able to set this bad boy
in 'T' mode and there's no opportunity to do that in the pop-up menu. D'oh. So I guess I'll have to wait until next turn to do that.

Here's the Wilno area now: John has the no borders setting turned on and the map looked broken so I turned off the display of borders.

These are the only squadrons that survived so far. Most of them are in poor condition and a lot of them are in reorg.
