No real interest in watching the Charity Shield [>:] but will do as I'm interested to see how Van Persie is looking. He is hugely expensive for a fantasy team but if he can be guaranteed to repeat last year, then worth finding room for him. I would be amazed if he stays injury free - although I've been saying that for the last 3 years [8|]

Bump!
A few more players would be great, there's the chance to win stuff. Mostly trips to the UK but there's monthly prizes for those who are good enough. Also, Matrix have been good enough to allow the top player from the league to buy selected* games at up to half price during their next Christmas sale! Now that's a prize [:)]
*Selected by Matrix Games. Any discount on preferred games is purely coincidental. Players who do not finish top are honour bound not to buy any titles during the Christmas sales.

Sorry - I would like to apologise unreservedly for that last remark. No one should be accused of that heinous crime [;)]

here goes my starting eleven with good hope about the rookie Rory Donnelly and an unusual tactical line-up 3-4-3 [:'(]
Good Luck everyone-I'll pay the beer to the winner[:)]

Got some good choices there Admiral - one exception though. I would put my old mum in the team before Stewart $%^&* Downing - and my old mum has been dead for almost three years. Downing is everything you want in a winger - except for his lack of pace...and goals...and assists...and - well you get the picture [;)]

That looks like a pretty decent team. Except for, as Warpsite has pointed out, a certain Mr Downing. He's been below average constantly since Liverpool paid £20 million(!) for him. I suppose at least he's been consistent. [:D]

Here's my latest (and probably final) line up. A few minor changes from the last time, mainly putting Lambert in to save enough cash to fit Ivanovic into the defence. I did this before last night, but hopefully it's a sign of things to come. I like the 3-4-3 formation, less defenders means less goals conceded... There's also the option of 3-5-2 depending on the fixtures for each week.
There's still time for anyone who's on the fence regarding joining in. You can join after the season starts, but you'll be at a disadvantage. There are at least two Brits who can throw some advice out there if people want*, or you can even ask the website to pick a team at random.
*For example, do not pick anyone from Hull (or Crystal Palace) as I suspect they are going to be so bad that they'll resemble Derby County of a few years back.

I like what you have been able to do without having van Persie. The back three look particularly strong. I just can't decide what to do with the Dutchman [&:]

My starting 11. (most probably. Hopefully Agger can play. Also not sure about Jagielka, but Mertesacker got some bad reviews after playing with the "Deutsche Nationalmannschaft" against 'Paraquay.)
One question about the automatic substitutions btw. What will happen, if one of my strikers will get injured, before or during the game? Will then Shawcross enter the field?
Looking forward to your comments and advices.

No idea about the rules [&:]
Jagielka is an interesting choice. He scores lots of goals but I'm just not sure about Everton under Martinez...
Not having van Persie gives so much more choice so .....
