Allied impulse. China land, rest combined.

CW sends out a Ftr to N sea just to establish presence again. Cw also send 3 Cruisers from Aden to E Mediterranean in hopes of catching the Italian Transports there even though the Transports have some light cruisers as escort.

CW did did the Italians in E Med with 6 surprise points to help for more casualties. In the form the expenditure of the surprise points can be seen and the expected results are 1 sunk and 2 damaged ships in Italy against 1 damaged Cruiser for the CW.

The results were 2 Italian light cruisers sunk and 1 CW light cruiser aborted. There is no second round, the Italians aborted all with the still loaded Transport going to Tobruk.

The CW continued their impulse with a strategic bombing of Essen and rolled 10 so even in the rain they took out 2 production point from Germany.
The turn did not end and now follows an Axis impulse (number 9) so it may well end.

Appreciate the AAR.

I'm still working through Barbarossa as I learn the game, and this AAR will be a major help when I tackle the Global War.

Axis impulse 9 in the mild winter and the Germans remain in camp. Japan kills one Chines Nationalist Mil in South China in an attack at +9, roll of 12 for a final 21.
3 Japanese units were disorganized.
Italy sent ships to the E Med to try to hit a few CW cruisers there but did not find them, The CW Cruisers did see the Italians but decided to evade them and not fight, the search difference allowed them to avoid combat.

The Allied first impulse saw the CW readjust their shipping lanes and convoy protection details. The French moved their brand new armor and Mech units to the Belgian front and beefed up their second line to prevent German breakthroughs. They now hope the German bombers will not cause too much havoc in the French lines.

The Axis powers in their impulse begins their spring offensive.
Italy DoW's France, Germany DoW's Yugoslavia and it is aligned with the CW. Germany aligns Rumania

The US does not care at all, No changes in US Entry.

Italy, Germany and Japan all take a land action.

The Germans took the French interceptor by surprise, they were aborted with no impact on the German bombers. In Belgrade one of the two Yugoslavian units was disorganized.
In China the Japanese bomber failed to find it's target.

The attacks in China all worked but the Japanese taking Kweilin were all disorganized. China lost 2 MIl and an Inf.
The Italians managed to cross into France but at a cost, One French Div and one Italian Gun lost and the Italians all disorganized.
The Germans took the first hex in France in a breakthrough roll with no losses. The French lost a Mil and a Gun but their Armor was only shattered and will come back next turn. Zagreb fell with no losses .

The next Allied impulse rolled a somewhat worse weather, rain in the temperate but fair otherwise. It is enough to slow down the German forces though.

The allied impulse with rain in the temperate zone just adjusted the defensive lines and posture in France and minor moves were made in Egypt. The Chinese also moved in the direction of maintaining a front in the mountains in southern China after the loss of Kweilin. The weather is likely to stop German progess for a while.

The Axis could not make much headway in the rain and had only one attack in France on Lille. The French had moved one unit out if the city in order to make their line more breakthrough proof leaving a large Gar unit there. The German attacked at +16 and rolled a 4 costing them a Div lost and 4 units disorganized. HW Von Leeb reorganized 2 units.

Japanese troops followed the retreating Chinese in the south mountains.

Italy has some success in E Med and W Med finding and damaging 3 CW CL and had only 1 Italian Ca aborted.

The weather has deteriorated further and the allies will look forward to storms in Europe.

With storms and snow all over Europe and China, not much happened this Allied impulse. The French sent SUBs against the Italian convoy in the Italian COast but did not find them. The BEF in north of France shortened their line a little.
