We have discoverd more German bombers without escorts and we strike immediately.

An uneven fight ends...

Our fighters get a promotion as a reward for their great devotion. Anytime a unit reaches a new level by earning enough experience points the player can choose a support unit that will be added to it. Those units alter the base values and stay with the parent unit until its' destruction.

Without checking the whole situation we attack the embarked artillery unit that intruded the city. The result is devastating. Tanks have big disadvantges on city hexes which subtracts 7 plus my tanks are still plagued with the early Soviet doctrines which in this case did cause -3 plus an unkown artillery unit supported the defender. This together almost destroyed my brigade.

We could damage the German war machine in this turn. Its seems we achieved air superiority but the Germans still dominate the ground. Most our counter strikes were premature so far. Still both sides can win.

Turn 8: Air superiority

This turn shows that we prevailed in the air. With the mass of German aircraft being destructed we now can strike at will.
The situation:

Germans are stuck in the north and face destruction with no support and being reluctant to retreat:

In the center there is slow German progress - we fight for every house !

Forces in the south are still delayed - a fatal delay to our understanding!

The last German fighter unit we spotted is now under attack.

...and is going down.

Now we attack the Panzerdivision in the north with our IL-2 equipped unit.

Next our tanks destroy the remnants of the 86. Inf.Div.

The beast is destroyed: finally the 7. Panzerdivision has surrendered. The north is almost cleared from the Germans, Klin might be liberated soon.

Also our GuardsMortar units have reached Moscow and obliterate weak German units.

The last strike of this turn is against the Germans that occupy a part of Moscow east of the Moskva. Even though it hurts to destroy parts of the capital, we have to show that we are willing to sacrifice everything!
