I currently have 270 and the game works. If I never installed 271 over 270 am I OK to install 272 over 270?

I completely re-installed game yesterday and am now back to the last official patch (4.4.263).
What is the 4.6.272 installation process from 4.4.263?

Does this patch correspond to the new 4.6.272 Hotfix build that Dave "Arjuna" has sent to Matrix today, just some hours ago?

271 had an error that made the game not recognize the serial number, this (272) corrected that.
Mine works great now.

Yes it does correspond to the build that was sent to matrix today. If you installed 271 you will unfortunately have to reinstall to fix the problem. However you should be able to install 272 without any other patches. However it wont hurt if you have patched EXCEPT if you used the 271 patch.
Oldspec4: You should be able to run this 4.6.272 patch from 4.4.263 without a problem. If you have a problem let me know ASAP so i can troubleshoot.
GBS: If your game is working you should be good to install 272. Let me know if you have any issues.
Navwarcol: You may have to reinstall the game in order to get it to work again.

Gerry, thanks for jumping on this so fast today.
I had thought that my only reinstall chance lay with disks that are a few thousand miles away, but I found that I had a copy on this computer, so that is what I did, thanks to good advice given here. It works great now.
Everyone, from the game designer, Dave, to the people at Matrix, to you, Gerry.... just an awesome job of getting the patch out quickly, and then fixing the issue with the patch in less than 24 hours. I am a huge Matrix fan, and this past day shows why.

Thanks, it works now!
FYI: Uninstalled game again after trying 4.6.271 last night.
1)Installed original game file 4.0.229 again; Installed 4.6.272 update; Game works fine.

Downloaded successfully.
While I had still a few order cancellations (5 or 6 in the Hoefen Ho-Down scenario), it is all the same a big improvement.
The defenders seem very resilient and I wasn't able to get a surrender from the Allies, as usual.
It seems generally to work well.

I want to apologise to everyone for the problems introduced with the Build 4.6.271 hotfix. I had inadvertently included a file from my debug system and that clobbered everyone's serial number reference. My bad. Thanks to Gerry et al at Matrix for responding as they have.

Hey Dave - don't sweat it. As a software developer myself, I understand these things happen. At the end of the day, all I had a small delay in getting the patch installed. No biggie.

The download links are not working for me.
If I go to the FTP link, then it asks me for authentication (User name and Password).
If I go to the Members club and I click on the link to download the patch then I get "The web page is not available".
EDIT: Now the FTP link is working, but the Members club link is not working

Hi,
I bought the HTTR expansion recently and installed the last official patch (4.6.263). I also downloaded the .270 (but not installed yet). Which of these, including the latest (.274), should I use to avoid any problems for HTTR? I'm not very keen on using the Mapmaker to convert all maps as it seems to take a long time to do. Are new improvements and tools (like supply route display) worth the trouble?
