Have you voiced your opinion in the poll on the new website?
Yes I've put my vote.
For all the other gamers this is the link:

I placed my vote 1940 France or Italy.

Question: Once I have installed H2H over my second installation of SPWAW v7.1 are there any other updates necessary? Are the OOBs that come with H2H the only ones I should use?

Thanks

There is only one set of H2H OOBs (there was an older version, but that is not available any longer...) and the OOBs are 90% what makes H2H different from other SPWAW versions concerning "how the game plays and feels", the rest is nice to hear or to look at, but has no influence on the game...the other 10% is the slightly changed mech.exe in H2H.

If you put other OOBs into H2H, it wouldn't be H2H anymore and also could throw up problems with pics or sounds...

So it's better to leave it as is and not to install other patches or OOBs, except special corrections or updates made for H2H, like the icons Warhorse made (the FlakPanzer, e.g.)...but that is pretty much all I know, that wouldn't screw it up...

How would we tell the difference? I downloaded it pretty early and want to make sure I have the latest.

Partial bombardment pop-up box

Got them all, I think. Being new to this does anyone else have this problem with a partial bombardment pop-up box during bombardment (fast artillery off). Bug I guess because it doesn't happen in SPWAW.

You got the pop up windows on, that are telling you what action is happening at the moment, right ?

The partial box is normal, as I deleted casualty reports, especially those of artillery...this is the price I had to pay for achieving that, but the good thing is, that it does not cause any effect on the game or crashes...it's simply an uncomplete report box with no effect, vanishing as it normally would...

...so nothing to worry about :D

Leo,

I got this annoying little text box following my cursor around everywhere, *including* the main menu. I disabled it in game, but in the menus it's still flying all over the place.

How to get rid of it?

Hmm, i seem to be missing something here. If H2H is so good, then why keep a second version of Spwaw? I asume its because of the number of senarios/campaigns or somthing, but im proberbly wrong.
Some people are just stubborn??
Thinking that since version 7.1 is the "official" version, its the best, BUT, trust me H2H is the better of the two.
7.1 was "unfinished" in my opinion, due to matrix having to move on to other projects, consider H2H a "fine tuned" version 7.1

The "live delay" box in the preferences can handle that...just enter the time the little box shall need to pop up...the default setting is "0 - instant"...that's all :)

Thanks Leo, didn't appear to effect anything in the game, I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss a preference setting or something simple like that.
