Thanks Gary,

After looking at the US OOBs, my suspicions were correct in that I had nearly eliminated all of the US transports which was my goal. I never focused on hitting the infantry unless I had to. I was trying to limit their mobility by taking out the HTs, Greyhounds and M15s (who really concerns themselves with Shermans, that's why I don't mention them as primary targets, they were merely targets of opportunity;) ). If I had just taken SS or FJs, or even regular infantry instead of the Ski Troops, I certainly would have gotten a handful of AFVs earlier in the game as they moved around in all that smoke. As it was, my ski troops did nothing for me. (Live and learn.) Without having to worry about warp speed Rangers surrounding and assaulting my AFVs I could have systematically started an attack on each VH cluster.

In addition, Gary took a great risk in parking all 8 of his 4.2 inch mortars in the same hex next to an ammo dump. I didn't place much focus on having powerful arty and it cost me. It was that combination of continuous heavy arty falling on me and the Ski Troops that kept me from giving Gary a better showing.

Gary, did you scout me out and figure that the arty you used was worth the risk or what? I'm sure that against many players that would have been a foolish thing to do, but as it was against me, you played it perfectly.

Next time Gary!...

As for VikingNo2, I have played him several times (who hasn't) and I can beat him. We agreed to play H2H, he is US (by his choice) and I am Germany. I have mostly been playing Germany by default in this WC which is not bad I guess. V2 has already set up the game and from just taking a peek at it I see that it is on a small map with 5000 points so that game should be a slugfest with little room to maneuver. The units are so different in H2H that it should be interesting no matter what.

Happy Holidays everyone!

As far as scouting you out on the forum, no I did not. I generally take alot of on board artillary. But sometimes I am a little more sercumspect when placeing the artillary. And I did notice that you were targeting my half tracks. I was down to just two mobil ones and one immobilized one. Good game good luck with JJ. He is a fun opponet to.
