just today we has a spam bot, with 16 posts / threads to remove, but yes it's always everyone else that suffers for a few idiots[:(]

This is a load of bollocks. I'm trying to fix a problem for my copy of Distant Worlds (Steam version works but the Matrix doesn't [&:]) and I get turned back every time. It's incredibly frustrating to purchase a game and then have an issue and wait for this stupid thing to end. And if it's in place because of ONE person some time ago, it's pretty ridiculous. This policy really needs to be dropped.
Agreed. Especially as most game manuals direct the
PAYING CUSTOMER to seek game support on these forums. And now you encourage them to make spam replies to get up to the post count?
Why not just have <10 post users do a captcha before each post? I've never experienced such an absurd policy as this on any other game support forum. Shamefully inept.
The policy is quite effective. Anyway if you're being affected just PM me or open a helpdesk support ticket and we will add you to the trusted users group.

Jumping on the bandwagon here - posting an additional 8 messages so I can get past this. As others have mentioned, this happens even on clean posts that do NOT have e-mails, phone #s, or links. Copied directly from Notepad and verified through the preview. Apologies for my incoming spam to get to 10 messages.

Thanks! I know how much of a pain this can be. I had similar issues come up when I was a mod on a forum site where we were getting bombarded with spambots non-stop. Thanks for all you mods do to keep these boards running!

I spent multiple hours for listing corrections to Command databases and I can't post it...
By luck I saved that text on text editor and didn't loose it.
This system sucks. 10
