I lived on Woodside Avenue off Harford Road. I miss the Colony Theatre. Emerald Tavern was an old hangout, they had good chili.
If they all come you should find a place to meet.

I had a pretty good steak at the Emerald Tavern just before Christmas but I've yet to try their chili.
If I go out to eat at all these days (budget is beyond tight right now) it's usually to Schooner's on Belair Rd.

This is still pending approval from the folks at Matrix, but I've come up with a simple nametag that can be printed out and worn by those planning on joining our little Aberdeen Outing.
What I did was take the "MatrixGames Forum" graphic up at the top of the screen, stripped out one of the frames from the animation, added a little text, and resized it so that when printed you end up with a neat little business card size ID tag. Print it out, write in your name and wear it to the convention so we can spot each other easily.

The way I figure it, all you have to do is spot one of us who
is wearing a tag. After all, the idea of the tags was so we could find each other. I'll probably print a few blanks to take with me, so I can paste one on you when we meet up.
I will be there early

It's going to depend a bit on the weather... If it's nice I might take my bike there, if it's not then I'll be on the 7:20 Greyhound. Not quite sure where that drops me off in relation to the entrance, but I'll find it. If there's a Burger King there, that's where you'll find me. In any case, you have my cell#.

Join the club. :p Altough tickets are at a 4-year low right now and the exchange rate is fair, it's still a lot of money, with such short notice.
If there's another meeting coming up this fall, tho'.....

MVPA Aberdeen and Dayton Airshow

Hey All:
I'm sorry, again it's taken entirely too long for me to check back with this topic. There is indeed an MVPA function in Aberdeen in May. It is the longest continuosly running event in the country (30th year). A google search of "MVPA Aberdeen" yielded some results:
May 08 - May 10, 2003
30th Annual East Coast Military Vehicle Rally
The annual East Coast Military Vehicle Rally, Show, Swap Meet and Flea Market (formerly known as the Aberdeen Rally)features a large militaria flea and swap market. 200+ vendors occupying 500+ spaces, growing each year. Drivers of military vehicles entered for display or judging receive free entry. Military vehicle displays. Reenactors, living history groups and MVPA chapters wishing to have military or historical displays are welcome and will receive complimentary spaces. Free camping. Oh well, maybe next year....
However, I'll pass this along early. The Dayton Airshow in Dayton Ohio.
July 17, 18, 19 & 20, 2003
Thursday through Sunday
at Dayton, OH International Airport.
I believe this is the 2cd largest show in the country... Oshkosh being first.
This is a special year for this event because it is the 100th Anniversary of powered flight. It is also the 50th anniversary of the military flight demo teams.... Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, etc.
I saw something on TV that there are 3 groups building replicas of the original Wright Bros flyer.... 2 stock, one modified to be more flight worthy. They are slated to fly there, if finished.
In addition to the airshow, Dayton is home to Wright Patterson AFB, and the USAF museum. Also the Wright Brothers Musuem. I didn't get to the Wright Bros. musuem, but I spent two days at the USAF museum.
It took 12 hrs of driving from Princeton NJ, and there are campsites in the area.
Hopefully this is early enough notice for people to plan.

try a google search on "Dayton Airshow"
Again sorry about the delay

I saw this on the Ordnance Museum web site, but for some reason couldn't find it listed on the MVPA site, so I assumed it was either cancelled or outdated information.

The kudos for the tags should really go to the Matrix artist who did the original forum tag (Marc perhaps?) All I did was a little advanced "cut & paste"
I'll be at the gate around 7:30 since my bus gets to the depot a few blocks away at 7:20. I'll save y'all some room at the table of whatever place has the best breakfast deal. Just to reconfirm, this is April 6th, a Sunday (and the start of DST so don't forget to set those clocks AHEAD) at the Maryland Ave. gate of APG? Correct?
