Finished playing around with the "Rafah '67" scenario to make it closer to my take on the historical situation.
Deleted leaders as in previous post.
Changed leaders and HQ to foot and gave them halftracks to load on to. A little difficult to tell who's who when loaded (is it a leader, squad, mortar, LMG? that is on a particular halftrack) but just adds a little FOW
Deleted the entire 60th Brigade. Historically I believe was the division reserve but was used for it's primary mission to swing south and attack the Jiradi pass. Got stuck out in the dunes and largely ran out of gas. Do not think historically it actually participated directly in the Rafah fight. Similar situation with Granit force. Was held back for it's primary mission and did not participate directly in the fight at Rafah. Anyway just my take. Deletions of the 60th and Granit force make it much more "sporty" for the Israeli side.

[*] Save-as to different *.SCN File name, so it does not mix with original,
[*] Make a subtle change to Scenario Title like "The Battle of Rafah Junction 1967 Alternate by Spartan" (or what ever),
[*] Make change notes and credit Alan on Scenario Description.

...and it should be good.

OK. Will try to do that. Does my revised OOB go with the scenario when I post It? Never done this before. Thanks for the tip COHIMBRA. Catching a plane tomorrow early AM to go overseas so might be out of touch for a while. Really enjoy this community. thanks all

Just a quick heads-up on Alan's work with Divided Ground original scenarios.

Alan's completed all scenarios from the 1948-1973 era. Those will be included in CSME 2.0, together with all Arab-Israeli Wars and October War scenarios.

He's now working with Divided Ground post-1973 hypotheticals, and has provided initial versions of following scenarios to me:

[*] Ashqelon
[*] On Two Fronts
[*] Israeli Assault

Once he's completed his set and is happy about the outcome, I'll make those scenarios available two.

Again, my sincere thanks to Alan for giving all these DG original scenarios a completely new lease of life!

Crossroads:

Been overseas for the last 2 months and have not had a chance to respond.

I've completed my rework of the Rafah 67 scenario and would like to put it out there. As I've never done this before I've got a couple of questions.

I modified the exist scenario and saved it under a new name (giving the appropriate credits)
I've created a long list of the changes and sources.
I've also modified the existing OOB file.

If I post the new scenario, how do I link the new OOB to the scenario?

All of the changes were in 1.02 so I'm not sure how this will translate to 2.0.

I apologize for these questions.....more of a historian than a computer guy.

Let me know....it is a real sporty scenario with what I think are historical elements.

Also starting to look at 2.0 and some of the new scenarios....the 8 part Crossing/Chinese Farm look great (thanks to AA). Just another bit of historical nit picking, am reworking the OOB for "the Most terrible Night" Scenario. Found a website for the 14th Brigade (Reshef) which led the crossing attempt and was able to translate it from Hebrew to English. Includes Reshef's after action reports including his detailed OOB . More to come

^^ Thanks Spartan! I guess we can agree these OoBs will remain a work-in-progress for times to come given the secret classification of many of them. But we can decrypt the secrecy one OoB at a time, right!
