Crimea

That level 3 fort guarding entry to Crimea didn't survive a single attack.

Turn 13 - 11.9.-17.9.1941

Moscow

Panzers are heading directly towards Moscow. My defense lines are very weak. I could have shorten the lines but giving ground without fight is really hard(from psychological point of view).

Turn 13 - 11.9.-17.9.1941

South

Zaporozhye pocket definitely sealed but the mud in South weather zone gave me an opportunity to disengage from the Germans.

Turn 14 - 18.9.-24.9.1941

Moscow

Major retreat in the center sector. 2 things convinced me to finally abandon such vast space of good defensive terrain that has been also threatening German flank.
1. Units are needed for Moscow defense and I am really short of counters after all the pockets
2. Mot./Pz. have been spotted gathering around Smolensk.

Turn 14 - 18.9.-24.9.1941

South

Trying to avoid further losses I gave up Donbass without fight. Should have probably done the same with Kharkov.

Turn 14 - 18.9.-24.9.1941

Crimea

I am running here as well. With the limited forces available I will defend only Sevastopol and Kerch.

Turn 15 - 25.9.-1.10.1941

Moscow

Tula lost due to the huge blunder I made. Because I am short of divisions only weak Rifle brigade was defending it. No industry lost but anyway big city taken by enemy for free. [:(]

I should have had left Kharkov to its fate. Another 15 divisions lost for nothing.

Soviet doctrine (at least by the 80's) was that terrain was never an objective but simply an obstacle so future generations will exonerate you.

On a positive note it looks like you'll be holding on to Moscow quite comfortably. Also playing bitter end means you can keep retreating in 42 without risking triggering an Axis auto win.

I would keep tank corps on the flanks of his penetrations in 42, one or two on each flank. You'll lose a few of them, but you'll get some return on investment and it'll play havoc with his psyche.

Yep Moscow is fine in 41, 42 will be different story. With Mild Blizzard and Axis winter preparations I won't be able to hunt them away from Moscow.

Crimea

Retreat to Sevastopol and Kerch was wise. Previous week a Pz. Korps appeared on Crimea. That was probably an attempt to destroy Coastal army.

I am beginning to like to that wall in-front of Moscow.
