The Fascists have a strong line facing us. Our position is secure, but making rapid progress will be difficult.

November 1934
Great news the Fascist Capital Palermo is taken along with the city of Casoria, the road to Lecce is open but unfortunately The Union have placed a roadblock preventing our Republican forces from taking a run at the Fascist second city.

The Fascists have been pushed into Lecce, except for one armored formation. The USN air attacks suffered heavy losses.
We may be able to see a clash of armor as Nippon has an armored division.

A week for reinforcing threatened positions and shoring up creaking defences as well as retaking the city of Casoria from the fascists not all territory taken from and then subsequently lost to the fascists has been recaptured, a long way to go but a sense that supply is now becoming a problem for the fascists with only two remaining cities, and a large army to supply.

The Union forces take Lecce and destroy nearly all the Fascist forces nearby.
The Union troops have fought well, as have those of our ally Nippon.

As suggested the Fascists are beginning to crumble unable to supply a enormous military with just two cities controlled from what was a large empire. This is still however a difficult and ongoing military challenge, we had requested The Union not take part in active operations in the heartland of the Fascists as we are not allied Nippon forces as Allies are welcome, but we note that the border had not just been "established" but has as shown, has been heavily manned by non allied Union forces, forcing The Republic to match these forces, this is not helpful I am sure they will claim that they have a need to be on the border but as the fascists have been utterly destroyed in that area we fail to see any need as the Republic had only placed one light unit on the border, that has been raised to 7 full strength units as the intentions of The Union are not clear.

The Fascists even though they are reduced to 10% readiness and lower are proving to be a brick wall so many of them they simply will not give ground against Republic forces supplied and well fed and at 100% readiness losses were high for little progress.

The direction this assertive state will take remains unclear.

People, I suggest a change in the victory rules, this kind "only one winner" rules isn´t working.
Up to know we only had a war with the poor Fascist Empire.
I suggest a division of the players in two alliances. As IronDuke, on one hand and cpdeyoung/me on the other got some extra points, I suggest TheRepublic/DasReich/Eastern Empire on one side and The Union/Nippon/The Empire in the order.
I believe that we are a small community and, to some extent, we all became friends, it´s hard for us to backstab a friend, and a game with only one winner is all about treason and backstabbing. Maybe teamwork is much more appealing to us. Just my 2 cents.

That puts all the good ships in one alliance.
