Do you wish to use AA against ground strike 1, 2 or both? I'm not sure the effects of surprise on AA fire ...

Ground strikes 1-3 are surprise (i.e., double rolls). The RAF Hampden (GSTK #2) is flying extend range so it's tactical factors are halved from 3 to 2 (rounded up).

The Polish ground strike (#4) is not a surprise (I believe) but MWiF will still roll double. Assuming this is a bug ... I will reorganize (by editing) any units disorganized on the second roll of this ground strike.
The 88 AA gun will fire against the Hampden. I believe the AA factors should be halved, making the roll -1/6.

I am not sure about the polish ground strike. It seems odd that it would get the benefit of surprise, but it may be the way the rule is written. Other expert will know better than I.

RAW:

15. Surprise
Major powers and minor countries are surprised when a major power
declares war on them, even if they are already at war with someone
else. However, they are not surprised by a major power or minor
country they are currently at war with. Furthermore, they are not
surprised by land or aircraft units attacking from, or flying over, hexes
controlled by a major power or minor country at war with them last
impulse.

So: it's a bug.
I did post on this about a month ago in the Tech section. tm.asp?m=4382039

The only die rolls more important to the eventual results of the first turn are the weather rolls. More specifically, the Ground Strike rolls on the best German HQ on the Western Front. When von Bock and Rundstedt are both in the west, even more so.

Turn 1. Sep/Oct 1939. Allied #2. Allied (French) Ground Strike #2.

I'm not even sure the French LeO 451 bomber crews even dropped their bombs.

Turn 1. Sep/Oct 1939. Allied #5. USSR, Asia.

Well something's definitely brewing in the Sea of Japan and on the Manchurian/Soviet border.

The Soviets use their one naval move to put a sub out in the 4-box to investigate the large Japanese fleet.

May the bad weather in the north temperate continue, or better yet, worsen.

Something also seems to be brewing with the Germans on the Western Front. Georges is used to reorg three French corps.

SO39 i7. Axis
With the Weather clearing up, the German Western Forces are ordered to March into the Netherlands.
Italy see's the Allied Naval movements and believes them to be real and not the exercises proclaimed. They DOW on France and the CW and occupy key lands in the Mountain passes with France.
I aligned the Netherlands with the CW. Those forces now need to be setup.
Miscellaneous details below.
