@Telemecus

I think that you might not need backward compatibility for PBEM games at least. If you open old turns with the updated program (I think) you will get the updated export format.

Yes, it seems to be the way patches have worked up to now. But it won't be very fun for anyone who is in their 60th turn that will need to re-export every turn CSV one by one if they wish to continue using the Report engine. Even 20 turns would be a drag. Will have to think hard on this.

Also: information about enemy ground elements and aircraft (losses).

Not sure if too late for next patch - but a column for construction value of units would also be very very useful!

great tool, you think you can make similar one for TOAWIV?

TOAW IV already has situational maps generated in BMP format (page 12 of a manual, option called Movies).
If you ask about Reporting Engine, then it'a Joelmar's field, I believe.

thank you, but that tool does not indicate/highlight the position and names of HQ army units, as your tool does.

Hi Ole,

Thanks for letting me know. Great that you shared the logs.

I see there is another problem: the program can't find your map image file 01.tga (and probably others too). It's trying to read it from ...\Dat\save\Dat\Art\Zoom4_nogrid directory.

Could you check if you pointed the program to appropriate directory. I think you should pick:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gary Grigsby's War in the East\
and you probably picked instead:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gary Grigsby's War in the East\Dat\save

Anyway, I'll try if it works with Java 13 as there may be a problem too.

Artur

Happy it works again :)

Adding commanders would be fairly simple. I just need to find some time during a weekend. Thanks for the idea :)

Ole,

Would you be so kind to test this new version?

https://www.dropbox.com/s/84r5kjtihjybc ... T.jar?dl=0

Option you want is called "Icons with commander names".

Let me know if you have any troubles.

Artur

I used to go CMD and type: java -jar WiteStaffMap-0.1.0.jar but maybe this is wrong now

I tried java -jar WiteStaffMap-0.1.2.jar with out luck

Downloading a jar and double clicking on it should result in showing this screen.

I changed interface a bit since you downloaded. Radio buttons for choosing HQs representation are now organised vertically. "Icons with commander names" or "Unit names with commander names" option should be chosen.

If you use command line, you should change filename after -jar to the last downloaded version. In our case it is WiteStaffMap-0.1.2-SNAPSHOT.jar , so a full command would be
java -jar WiteStaffMap-0.1.2-SNAPSHOT.jar
However you could just try double click on the jar file.
