A table displaying the icon colors. From inside out: icon background, icon foreground, and main background colors. Color of numbers is indicated by three small squares at bottom.
And a tableau display of the icon colors for reference.

The .col file.
To use: remove the ".txt" at the end. Then replace "lab" with the name of a scenario in which the .col is to be used. This renamed file should be placed in a folder that has the scenario's name and which is located under the "Graphics Override" folder.
Example: For a scenario named "Fort Fetterman", there should be a folder named "Fort Fetterman" under the "Graphics Override" folder. Inside the "Fort Fetterman" folder, place this .col file with the name "Fort Fetterman.col" .

I saved your All-icons.png file and used it for reference to change the color of my German units. I was thinking that #0 was a good looking grey and I found from the GAM file that German Infantry units use color slot #10. So I copied the defination for color 0 into the slot for 10 and changed the number from 0 to 10 in the new entry and saved it. Then I loaded it into the editor and discovered to my horror that the German units are now blue instead of grey. [ you'll have to scroll down to see what I mean. ] What in the world am I doing wrong?
EDIT
Never mind, I figured it out. It's working great. Thanks.

Hello all.
Great looking counters. The question is. What's the best way to get them into the game?
For example. I created a "Kasserine 43" Folder in the My Doc......Graphic Overide Folder and placed the renames .col file there. When I ran the game it picked up the file and changes the colours. Probelm is it used the the 20 to 24 column for the Germans and I need it to use the 0 to 4 column.
Do I place a default .col file in the folder and just edit one line or do I copy the scenario and edit in the editor?
Any advise would be welcome.
Cheers JTF
