I will share pics of Sweet Sam sometime in the future. Right now I am just overwhelmed at doing everything possible and still watching Sam waste away. He has eaten pretty much nothing in 6 days now. He turns away from food and water. Sam loved to drink from water running from a faucet, now that has no appeal to him. At treat time, Sam was first in line. Now he doesn't come, altho I did get him to eat part of a treat today. I don't think there is much else to do but to be ready to put Sweet Sam in the ground next to TMT, otherwise know as Too Much Trouble - but, he never was.

I have 5 other cats and 1 part time outside cat that comes in for chow and some loving. The trouble is, some cats are just special and you deeply bond with them. When it is time for them to go it is like all life ends. It is a bad year to say goodbye to Sam. He purrs and loves my attention. His eyes are alert but his body is wasting away.

He will buried next to TMT, and I will go out every day for a very long time and give him a treat, just as I did for Too Much Trouble.

My cat Archie had kidney failure. It happens to old cats. He was wasting away so we started feeding him via syringe. Vet said try the stinkiest food you can find. That did the trick. He still died after several months but they were good months. He was 16 years and 7 months.

Sweet Sam crossed over the rainbow bridge at 448 Thursday afternoon and ran off to play with Too Much Trouble and Henry. He went easy and purred up to the end. I could not bear to watch him suffer any more. He had a sunset burial out back next to Too Much Trouble. Strange thing is, he had mainly been lying in his box or next to it for days. An hour before we had to leave for the veterinarian he came out of his box. He lay down next to his two favorite female kitties then went to the rear door and gazed upon his kingdom. Hunkered down there with me beside him until it was time to go. Put him in his traveling container, walked him around the house, and off to the vet.

At 440 today I went out to be with him. Placed fresh catnip and a cat treat on their graves. I will put together pictures in a few days.

RIP Archie, he had a great life I'm sure.

My condolences. It almost seems like he was saying, "So long."
