Well this was a bad start, looks like all the escorts are concentrated on this convoy lane.
One step lost for the U-8 subs group.

Both groups are heading back to Germany for repairs, protected by an air superiority unit in the event of a raid of some carrier based planes.

Meanwhile, we are closely watching the movements on the Eastern side of the map.

And, on the western side of the map. Please note the position of the French fleet in Dunkerque ready to bring some naval bombardment to help the defenders during an attack.

Italian reinforcements continue to arrive. I am also migrating all the Italian infantry units from Anti-Tank to Assault technology.

On the western border, German troops are arriving from Poland. They deserve a rest after the successful Polish campaign.

But the bulk of our army is still in Poland. Luckily, the French did not attack us.

And a new sub group has just been created.

The convoy lanes are perfectly protected with surface ships well placed to counter any sub moves.
The good thing is that the Allies are spending oil.

My subs are in place. Now, will I attack the North Atlantic convoy lane or the South Atlantic convoy lane?
I am still puzzled.

In Berlin, the last kriegsspiel performed shows that it is critical to gain air superiority over France. As such, a new air superiority unit has been built.

November 10th, 1939 - turn 6:

The BEF (British Expeditionary Force) has landed in France. UK is highly confident that French army will stop the Germans.

November 10th, 1939 - turn 6:

USSR continues to prepare its defense. It won't be necessary, I will screw up France invasion as usual. [:D]

November 24th, 1939 - turn 7:

I will try to move my sub groups by only one operation point. I don't remember why. I think I have read this is better (!?).

Anyway, I have two options:
1. attack the North Atlantic convoy lane
2. attack the South Atlantic convoy lane

Also I would like to create a wolfpack of three sub groups.

It seems to me that the south of Iceland can be a good option to group them together. So, I decide to attack the North Atlantic convoy lane.
