T06 AGC:

2nd Army is starting to be the southern flank of AGC. 4th Army is advancing to hold the center. 9th Army is holding the northern flank. 3rd PG and 2nd PG form a pocket in front of Smolensk. 2nd PG has a corps pushing southeast of Gomel threatening to form a pocket north of Kiev.

T06 AGS:

6th Army is advancing trying to help hold the northern flank. 17th Army is advancing to the Soviet defensive line. 11th Army is taking over the front line. The Rumanians are concentrating for Odessa. 1st PG is bemoaning the one single hex short of a large pocket. There were just too many small units holding the rear to ZOC cost the encirclement so some units heading southeast to enlarge the breakthrough.

T06 Production Screen:

Here is the truck information that was requested above. I will start to include this screen on the every fifth turn status report. The trucks are looking good so far with 14K still in the pools and only 26.8K in repair.

Looks like a good supply or motorized assets, have you considered motorizing an infantry div or two?

Yes, but do I really need one? Yes I do, but is it worth losing all those trucks? No it is not, at least in my opinion. The Axis truck pool is VERY fragile in 41 and needs all the Tender Loving Care you can give it. Once a truck needs repair it is out of the war for all practical purposes in 41. 42 and later is another story.

T07 Supply Net North:

Rain. What a pain, but you can see what it does to the supply net in AGC where a few units really have to reach to the rear for supply. And this is just moderate rain - the heavy stuff will be much worse.

T07 Supply Net South:

The southern supply net is improving but there is a lot of stress on that single double line running east. Which makes it a prime target for the VVS.

T07 Air Phase:

I readjust the Recon Directives. It took about two minutes to do the entire eastern front. The bad weather results in some heavy Recon operational losses.

T07 Freight:

The bad weather shows up in the amount of supplies lost. The units are still getting more than their need at this point. The Air Commands are also getting more than they need which is good too.

T07 AGN:

18th Army advances towards the Soviet defensive line. 16th Army is holding the southern flank. 4th PG quickly shifts orientation and catches the Soviets flat footed. While the Soviet army defending near Pskov is not surrounded, it is ZOC locked and will not be able to escape easily. It all depends on what reserves the Soviets can bring into the area. Just as I was trying to decide whether to go for Leningrad or not.

T07 AGC:

9th Armys is working on reducing the pockets. 4th Army is also working on reducing the pockets - the Smolensk pocket is still holding strong with units of several Soviet armies remaining to go. 2nd Army is working on freeing up the 4th Army to shift more forces towards Smolensk. 3rd PG helps reduce some pockets while holding the line with the XXXIX Mot Corps. The LVII Mot Corps is pulled back for refit and CPP recovery at Polotsk. 2nd PG reduces some pockets and holds the front line steady. The XXIV Mot Corps is refitting near Mogilev.

T07 AGS:

The Soviet AI counterattacked twice in this theater last turn. As their first major counterattacks go off the defending German infantry divisions easily win the contests.

6th Army helps reform the northern pocket and starting to dig in near Kiev. 17th Army works on the northern pocket and advances to the center of the line. 11th Army is holding the southern portion of the line. This frees up the Rumanians who do their first assault on Odessa, reducing the fort level by one while losing 11K men in the process. 1st PG reforms the northern pocket from last turn while forming a new pocket to the south this turn.

T07 Soviet Partisan War:

Taking a closer look at the double rail lines from Minsk to the land bridge you can see those nasty red stars. These represent Soviet partisan strikes that have placed some interdiction in those hexes. Those hexes are negating strategic movement through those hexes which raises the MP cost for Axis units and, much more important, the cost for trucks and supplies to traverse. So what can we do about them?

T07 Soviet Garrison:

The Soviet Union Garrison Theater Box is now in play. As you can see it currently has no garrison requirement (the (0) past the Ground value of 32.98) but that will change. This is where all those RHG Commands have gone this turn from the map. Other units have joined them there such as the 2 Slov Infantry division and the two Rumanian Fortress brigades. I can send additional units to the garrison but I will never be able to recover those units in the game. That is a one-way ticket.

T08 Supply Net South:

Definite improvement on the supply net here. The Pripyet Marshes are difficult to supply. You can also see the minor port at Ochakov is now supplying the 1st PG in the south.
