I'm getting into the area on the east side of the river just north of Kiev and I've been clearing out the Soviet units up
against the river. I'd like to catch all of them before they can escape to the west. They've already started moving units out
of danger.

Here's what's going on around D-town and Z-town. I've forced my way through D-town and I'm going to run some units out of
there in multiple directions. I'm going to rail some more troops into this AO to help man the front lines.

Here's me breaking into the Crimea and I'm just on the verge of forcing my way through the bottleneck. Supply is in the 20's
so far but the rails are almost to Kherson already. I'm going to use the 11th Army units on Sevastopol and the Romanians to
cover the Kerch Straits exit avenue. I'm going to use the Romanian aircraft to take down both Odessa and Sevastopol and the
Kerch Straits. I'm fairly sure there will be enough Romanian bombers to cover all that.

Here's what the front lines look like at the end of T15 [below]. I'm creeping closer to Leningrad and still pushing to the
east in the middle and just to the east of the marshes I have left a wide open gap in my lines. I'm only noticing this at
this moment. I'd best move some people into that AO to hold down the fort, plugging the gap.

I've gotten across the river north of Kiev and I've been pushing east and south at the same time. I've already killed several
Soviet divisions that were parked alongside the river on the east side of the river. I've pushed through Kiev city hex and
the rail is already repaired all the way to Kiev so supply is still great.

I'm pushing some units north from D-town to try to cut off the Soviet defenders still alongside the river. Some of them have
already started their movement to the east. I have pushed through Z-town and my units are starting to move east from there.

I've broken into the Crimea and soon I'll start the campaign to take down Sevastopol. It's only 10Aug41 game time and I have
until 04Dec41 to take down the city in order to qualify for the release of the Bulgarians. I need those bad boys.

Odessa is holding out better then I would have hoped. I've been using RR arty to back up my minimum-losses attacks on one of
their corner units where I can get three hexes involved in the attack but it's not making a dent so far. Maybe I need more
arty involved.

I sank all the Soviet ships near Leningrad but the ships that were based at Sevastopol have moved to the SE to shoot at my
Turk soldiers. So they aren't in range yet.

I've lost 15K HRS's and there's only 29K+ assigned so I'm going to have to slow down in certain sectors of the front lines so
the LCU's don't lose too much strength.

I think I may have succeeded in trapping most of the Soviet defenders up against the river. Some of them did escape but it
looks like I've trapped most of them. All of my aircraft are green except for one bomber unit. The supply level is in the
20's in this AO. I've lost 17K HRS's but I still have 30K of them assigned. The Soviets have increased their AS level a lot
and now we're almost at a parity.

I'm on the verge of capturing Bryansk. Either this turn or the next. So far so good.

Here's what it looks like around the port of Sevastopol right now. I've pushed the defenders back to the environs of the city and now the siege begins.

I'm creeping closer to Moscow a little each turn. Also, I've surrounded a large group of Soviet units and I'm in the process
of killing them. It's taking a lot of my troops to surround them and I need those troops on the front lines. So I need to
liquidate them quickly. Either that or the Soviets will break a hole in my lines and I'll have a major hassle trying to plug
the hole(s).

Here's what the front lines look like in T20 before I have moved anybody. I seem to be making some progress in almost every
sector of the front lines except maybe for the Leningrad area. The Soviets have stacked themselves up in huge stacks and it's
hard to break through that. I especially like to attack those hexes where the Soviets are density red because for relatively
few losses on my side I can cause 20%+ Soviet losses in one attack.

All my aircraft are green except for one Minor Axis Ally bomber unit. It's parked at Bucharest resting.

I have lost 22K HRS's and there's only 26.6K assigned so I've got to slow down the tempo and conserve my troops. Otherwise the
divisions will wilt in strength. I've also got to keep in mind that there's going to be a pestillence penalty tacked on
sometime during, I think November '41 and I'll start slowly losing men and equipment from that.

Here's the view from Kharkov right now ( T20 ). I'm in the process of surrounding a small group of Soviet units just before I
destroy them.

Here's what it looks like east of D-town. Supply is in the low 20's at the tip of the spear. I hate to stop the advance in
this AO since the progress is so great here.

I'm just on the verge of capturing Leningrad. The problem is that the Soviets are building some big stacks and that makes it a
slow slog. The Finns have been at the stop line for a couple of months game time.

Things have changed a little bit at Kharkov. The supply level is in the high 20's in this AO so far.

I finally forced the Soviet defenders in Rostov to back up a hex and I advanced into the city and the bridge over the river
heading south is still intact. So I can now start pouring units onto the roads and rails heading into the Soviet oil fields.
I'll study the area's to the east of here and see if there is anything valuable to capture because if there's not I'll
concentrate on goodies south of here. The supply level is 23 at the tip of the spear so operations can continue.

I'm making some small progress near Kharkov I'm trying to force a small group of Soviet units up against the river so I can
finally destroy them. So far during this game I've been killing Soviet units a small group at a time. Although the Soviets
have started building a front line just to the west of Moscow so I guess Elmer thinks it's going to be needed in the very near
future.

Here's what's going on just south of Leningrad a bit. As you can see the supply levels are great. I'd like to aim all the
units in this AO toward Moscow to give some grief to the Soviet units between here and there.

I finally captured Leningrad and I've started moving the Finns south to take part in the party. I'm thinking I can clear out
the Leningrad area and get the Finns moving to the east of here to clear out the forests to the east.

This is what it looks like west of Moscow right now. I'm inching closer every turn. Slowly.

Here's what it looks like SE of Leningrad right now. I'm trying to surround the Soviet group defending the path to Moscow from
Leningrad. I may need to squash the group into a smaller footprint so that I have enough units to complete the surround.

I am making very slow progress at Odessa and I think I may have sealed off the port so that they can't float off to somewhere
else. So I think I may be able to destroy all of the defenders before too long. Maybe another 10 turns or so.
